I played a few of them at DDXP, and they did mostly feel different.
The Ranger was great because he dealt heavy damage at range and rarely missed. The Cleric was good because healing is still vital. He didn't hit nearly as much as the Ranger though, which was a little frustrating.
I played a few of the different characters in the delve. The Fighter and Paladin were certainly different. The Paladin did a little less damage in melee, but has a radiant damage strike, which really helped out against undead. The Paladin also had slightly higher defenses, which encouraged you to really try to take as many of the enemy's attacks as possible. The Fighter really felt defender-y, with the ability to stop the enemies from shifting past her.
Some of the differences could be racial. Some of the Paladin's low damage was possibly due to being a halfling, and some of the Fighter's toughness was probably due to the Dwarven Resilience trait.
