Here we go again: Rogues, Frost Weapon, and the Wintertouched Feat

I think what is especially "unsettling" about these feats is that, on the surface it appears to be a feat for arcane classes. However, a weapon wielding class has a much easier time (buy a single weapon) making all their attacks frost, than an arcane caster. Considering that the number of weapon based feats are extensive, the fact that one of the few good arcane feats are actually better as weapon feats just seems like a bit of a low blow. The downside is even lower ... the weapon wielders can turn the cold off if the opponent is highly resistant or immune, however most arcane casters can't change the energy type of their spells that easily.

Firstly I want you to realize that it is CA and +5dmg not +2 to hit and +5dmg. If you have combat advantage from any other source/reason one feat goes to waste.

Secondly others and I have stated that it is not that difficult to get CA w/o this combo. If you don't know how to get CA take a look at PHB P279/280 then read through the powers and see how many can actually grant CA.

Furthermore, the first hit starts this combo, if you have multiple targets and not all chars have both feats, some get nothing.

I mentioned other weapon enchants that do far more damage than the combo can ever deal. All of you so far are ignoring those facts. If you play only with the Core Rules, you can ignore them but you should say so.

If you ultimately believe that this combo breaks your game, then ban it or allow it only with spells. But at least don't state it as a fact that this combo is gamebreaking or will break your game.
