Well, while I could build a throne out of them, I currnetly have them on the bookcase, the kitchen table, the coffee table, boxes in the bedroom, boxes in the closet, on the futon, and around the computer desk. And I don't even want to think what it's going to be like when I get the judges books!!

But, yay, it would be really nice to use some of these books that are everywhere!! :D

no harm in planning a game early.... :D

Ya, but the big problem is what to run. It would be nice to try a pulp game, I blame Mark for getting that idea in my head. I think a CoC game set in the Depression Era would be great fun foir instance.

I played a game of Wierd Wars d20 yesterday, and it did messy things to my head. For some reason, I really want to run a non-fantasy game sooner or later.

Horror in the Hooverville! :p

(i think mark's preference would be the late 1930's - ala Phillip Marlowe and Sam Spade)

does that mean you didn't like it? (wierd wars, based on deadlands, is a fantasy game. - one of my absolute favorites, too :D )

Actually, I really liked it. I just realised that I've DMed nothing but fantasy games for about five or six years, and I really want to do something else for a while.

Ya, but that's not my expertise. And with the depression it's easy to get everyone together by them all taking jobs for the same person. But it is not like any of that is my expertise, I'd have to go read Grapes of Wrath for inspiration. But with CoC I'm thinking of keeping this campaign book I have for it and it might be fun to run. It is set in modern times so it might take some work to get it in the right era. But all this is just randome thoughts at the moment.

i completely understand. one of the players in my former group has realllly wanted to do a non-fantasy game for some time (which is why i was considering trying to convert Star Frontiers to d20 Modern...)

Ya, I think it would be fun to do something non fantasy as well. Or at least modern fantasy. But a sci fi game could be enjoyible as well, like converting Phase World to star wars d20 rule set or something like that.
