As to the spin off...No one knows. Its been discussed certainly, with faith travelling the world, rather than static.
I'd love to see that though I'm not sure Faith is a strong enough character to build a series around. But Eliza's been cast in a new series this fall so I don't think she'll give that up for something much less certain.

You never know, though.

And for the record, I'll be happy when Buffy ends. Right now it's just embarassing. The end of the series will be like a mercy killing now. Sigh.

I'll miss Buffy certainly, but it's time is up. The show ran its course, and though it has not been bad, it has not touched me as it once did. Angel keeps getting better all the time, though!!! I really enjoy Angel, in fact its what dragged me into the whole Buffyverse.

mmm Charisma Carpenter....
Perhaps I am not so much upset about the show ending as much as I am moruning the loss of someone very close to me who really loved the show. Now I will have one less thing to remind me of her.

Play nice, everyone.

I should not have brought up the issue, I had not looked at the meta thread and did not know this was a touchy subject.

Don't worry about it Skade. I'm not. No matter how much you try to stop it, the train of progressive technology will eventually leave you behind, or run you down if you stand in the way.

I did not know that. That changes the odds considerably. Faith "could" be a strong enough character. She would be the Batman of Slayers, one with a lot of bad kharma to work off. If you build a good enough ensemble cast it would work nicely. Sarah Michelle Gellar was not enough of a reason to watch Buffy, honestly. I watched as much for Alyson Hannigan and Nichols Brendan (reversed name?). The other characters and the interplay is what made both shows for me.

*hugs da bear* I do understand that. One thing that is nice though is that you can see it everyday on FX, and there are plenty of DVDs, toys, statues, books, comics, CDs, and other Buffy things to help. The series is closing, but Buffy will go on.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't it matter that not everyone can afford the high-end machines?

I don't deal well with endings.
