Other.

At char-gen, I prefer a mix of + and - with the rough average being net +0 over what you rolled.

During the campaign I prefer stats to increase slowly and with an element of randomness/unpredictability involved (cf the percentile stat increment system from the 1e Cavalier)

I like how 13th Age handles stat bonuses at character creation. Generally your race gives +2 to one of two set stats for that race. Then your class gives you a similar choice of +2 to one of two stats associated with that class. You cannot choose the same stat twice (so no +4 to a single stat). There were some exceptions that broke the rules a bit like humans being able to put their +2 into anything to represent their versatility.

And this is what I'm talking about when I say that folks around here speak as if they know the absolute truth, when what they have is personal opinion.
I know I don't speak the absolute truth and it is just my personal opinion. I could have put that in perhaps a more clear way, but outside of factual information, I try to speak of a point of view where my subjectivity is... just a part of the post, and not overstated.

I know I could have added 'in my opinion' to the end of that, but... I don't know. It doesn't really add much.

I'm pretty stupid. I couldn't speak from absolute truth if I tried.

I like chargen ASIs coming from some combination of race (or lineage and culture, or whatever), class, and background. So something like: a +1 from three of those sources, and maybe with no limit on stacking those.

Not a fan of negative chargen ASIs, except maybe regarding Strength for Tiny races.
