How long after June 6?

HORROR OF HORRORS! I WILL BE ON A PLANE OR IN AN AIRPORT ALL DAY!

Now maybe, early in the morning, I can pick up a copy of the PHB and get the plane playing.

Just finished Cormyr and have the other 2 modules to run through before starting 4e with my one group. The other group will most likey stick to our heavily houseruled 3.x system, looting where neccesarry.

That said If we like the look of 4e (and after a successful playtest this is mosty likely) I will give people exp penalties for roleplaying and wasting time ;)

Brent, are you going to blog your game? I loved reading your Drow War blog, it helped me prepare from my Drow War campaign.
Thanks! And yes, yes I am going to blog the new game.

Sorry that the Drow War thing died . . . that whole 3.5 high level crap killed me.

Anyhow, new campaign will be here (http://greyshad.blogspot.com/) when we get started. I expect to do very similar type stuff including the PC point-of-view fiction. Hopefully this goes better.

It's been almost 2 years since I did D&D, so I've definitely got the bug; hopefully no burnout this time.

Ditto. Of course, I'm also getting mine from Amazon, so the reality will be that it'll be another week (probably) before I'm even able to read them. After that, I'll run 4e just as soon as I can wrap my 3e game.

I'm planning on calling some friends over same-day to try it out. On the 7th I'll be at the Source for Worldwide D&D Game Day (hopefully we'll have someone like Andy Collins or James Wyatt there - last November we had Mike Mearls). This year I mean to show up at least half an hour early - there was already quite a crowd back in November when I showed up at 9:45.

I'd love to run a game same-day, but my players all live farish away, so it'd probably have to wait for our regular game-day on the next Sunday.

When I get the books themselves depends on how much money I have at the time, but I imagine I will at least run a short adventure or even a one-on-one campaign with my brother very soon after I get the books. Beyond that, it depends on whether or not I can dig up a good gaming group.

I will be in California when Fourth Edition comes out - my wife is interested in playing (she currently plays in my Pathfinder Rise of the Runelords game), and I might be able to talk her brother and maybe his roommate into playing.

Otherwise, I might try to run Keep on the Shadowfell either before we go, or when we get back.

Long-term, I'm hoping I can keep running Rise of the Runelords, but since there's no chance I'll get to finish it before June (we haven't even got through the first adventure, and we play fortnightly) I'm keeping an open mind about violently converting it to Fourth Edition, given what everyone says about not wanting to go back to Third. :P
