Really, the church door was the internet messageboard of the middle ages and renaissance.

It lets you ask questions or tell things to everyone else who uses the divination spell as well, and you can even weave in visual and auditory illusions to what you say. The challenge when using it is picking out the wheat from the chaff, not listening to bardic music from the epic bard "Rickroll", and avoiding any images concerning an all-seeing goat.
