Shadow, I'm completely behind you on not completely getting all of their choices. On the one hand, having some of the feats without the prerequisites for those feats seems strange.
On the other hand, though, it seems like a lot of time and thought went into the decisions of what to give and why -- maybe it's how many feats players will be getting in this system, and trying to make all those bonus feats at least a little direction-pointing rather than completely free. Or maybe they rationalized it as, "The Fast Hero has never had to learn to Dodge, since he already Dodges more effectively with his natural abilities. But if he DOES take the trouble to learn to Dodge, his natural abilities give him some additional powers along those lines." Namely, the followup feats.
Regardless, it seems like a lot of thought went into the decisions. I plan to try to play straight from the book for the first few sessions, until I figure out what's broken and what isn't...
