(IC) Against the Giants PBP Group 1

I am starting to feel some strain from our battles.
Valda stretched her shoulder a bit, feeling some pain from the giant blows she had taken in the fight.
I have some strength left however, so I will defer to what you all think is best.

I still have some strength left but I am quickly using up my powers. I may only be able to call on one or two spells before I am spent. I will continue but we need to think of making our exit to rest and regroup."

Quinn grimaces at the mention of using the tunnels as a way out. He did not relish the thought of being underground especially with no idea if it lead to safety or greater danger.

If the plan is to leave I would prefer to go back through the kitchen. I do not want to get lost in some underground caves with no idea how to surface or what dangers may lurk around the next corner.

OOC: Can this count as a short rest? Just asking to see if I get my wildshapes back.

Quinn: AC17* HP 60/62 HD 9/9 PP19 SSdc18 2/4 0/3 1/3 1/3 0/1 WS 0/2 GB 0/4 CO 1/4 ET 1/1 DS 1/1 H 1/1 MS 0/1 Ba 1/1

OOC: If we take a short rest we'll loose the most of an hour left on my Polymorph. I was hoping it would be good for more than one combat.

Jack rubbed his grizzled chin. Fantigue cloaked him like a heavy blanket, but his next words belied his appearance. "I need to find someone. Mayhaps they're down here...somewhere. I say we press on."

It took no more than ten minutes to give a cursory search to the two rooms and talk about what to do next. The dwarves and orcs reminded the group that there were more of their kin to the south. It was well and good to try to escape now, but they would be leaving other prisoners behind. It was a dilemma - it had been a very long day by this time, and everyone was tired.

Zandor, the formerly imprisoned nobleman, was terrified of the prospect of going further into the depths. "Surely you cleared a way out on your way in!" he insisted, "Let us go now as quickly as we can!"

OOC: Vote? 1) Rescue dwarves/orcs to the south; 2) Head back to the kitchen and out; 3) Try to escape through the 'deep tunnels'.

OOC: Apologies for the long absence. I think OGL-gate negatively impacted my enthusiasm.

Bible listens to the orcs and dwarves stating their case for continuing south to find their imprisoned comrades, touched by the loyalty of those who sacrificed their own lives to rescue their leader. She turns to her halfling friend still in the form of a great ape, doffs her helmet, and scratches her head through her auburn braids.

"Well, me sweet Cordit," she says, "we said we weren't gonna leave no one behind, an' that goes for these dwarfs and orcs too, if you ask me. I wants to get you to safety, but I think we got another fight ahead of us before we can set sail. Are you in?"

OOC: That's fair. Reading and discussing it took up a LOT of my posting-time, myself. And I can't say it wasn't a blow to my morale for a bit. Morale is important for my posting momentum. I'd like to keep going, though!
