Donnell nods to the giant and then, draws his bow and, using the post for cover, feints as if he's going one direction but, instead, jumps out from the other side of the post and shoots an enemy.

OOC:
Attacking closest, most injured enemy (edit: but not mudsmuck)

sneak 1D20+8 = [20]+8 = 28
Sneak attack 2D20.HIGH(1)+5 = [13, 10]+5 = 18

damage: 1D8+1D6+2 = [6]+[1]+2 = 9
:p (I'm not sure I've ever rolled double-digit damage)

"I left alotta yer kind dead inna snow!" said Mudsmuck, swinging her axe as Waythe sliced her flesh, "Yer nothin' special!"

She brought her axe down again, but Kahru dodged to the side, then she tried to stomp at him with an enormous boot, made from skins that were better left unidentified. She stomped hard enough to crack a paving stone, but Kahru rolled away. Frustrated she spat, "Stop yer wigglin' and die!"

OOC: I had some terrible, terrible attack rolls for her.

Legend
In the middle of the room, the earth elemental pummelled the giant to death and moved on to the one at the front gate. Though the elemental missed as the giant ducked away, it distracted her so that she wasn't pushing against the piles of crates when Captain Caine's men outside thrust with their ram once more. The ram came through the door and the mass of wood and weight beyond it. As the ram swung back and away, the men cheered and began to clamber through the hole, one after the other.

The giantess picked up her club from the wreckage of the door, and she swung it in a wide arc overhead. If the earth elemental had truly had a head, it would have lost it. The rocky thing that resembled a head was smashed to bits, and the rocks that rained down on the pikemen as the climbed through the breach were large enough that they crushed the first man through. From outside, Caine shouted encouragement, and his men, though terrified, pressed on all the same.

Then Gimlak's animated stones joined the fray at the doors, and the pummelled the giantess horribly. The stones likely saved a few lives as the pikemen came through the breach, but they did nothing to improve their morale as each ducked and covered their heads, afraid to go the way of their comrade-at-arms.

OOC: Quite a bit of damage to the elemental (21) and to the pikemen (15) from the giantess before she got spitkicked for 68 (and took 7 from the last footman).

Legend
The colonel had freed himself and climbed out of the sapper tunnel. The room was pure chaos, and he rushed to take cover by a pillar while sending magic northward that staggered the giantess near the western door. It was enough that Tamanar the elf-knight finished her off with his bugbear-club, but only after she'd swatted him with her fire-poker.

Doc's guns screamed as they bit deep into the Ogress, Mudsmuck as Tamanar and the nearby soldiers pressed forward, now that they were free of the giantess. The soldiers rushed north of a massive table. It had been the Chief's dining table and was stained with years of gluttony, but aside from a few scraps and uncleared plates, today there had been no feast. Today was the end.

The young giant ran eastward, confused by a buzzing in his head that was sent by Gimlak's psychic assault. He called into a short hallway to the north-east (in giant), ::Ironjaws! Come, you lazy lout! They're here!"::

A grizzled old bear lumbered forth, looking like he'd rather be sleeping, as a nearby giant heaved a great big stone across the room at Gimlak, but struck the wall beside him with a great crash.

OOC: I think that I got everyone. @TaranTheWanderer Donnell's Action this round was to free Laerthar, so I'll save your post for next round, though I can use it right away because I'm posting the roller...

The ogre gloated and fought, blows hard enough to crack a paving stone, but Kahru rolled away and to the side, zealous fury surging through him like a mountain storm, every fibre of his being fierce with vengenace as he tightened his grip on Waythe.

With a mighty roar the barbarian northman spun on his heel, eyes wide and heart racing as the culmination of 12 years of seeking vengeance for the death of his tribesmen blazed into focus - his vow to redeem himself and earn the right to go home.

Waythe gleamed wickedly as Kahru leapt, the Great sword whirled over his head in an arc of death aimed directly at the brute who had terrorized his people for far too long. With all his strength and power Kahru struck down at Mudsmucks neck, the momentum of the blow carried by the full force of his ancestors and zealots fury. He felt his blade slice in to the ogres flesh and, time seeming to slow, he pushed through intending to see her foul head removed from her neck and sent flying amidst fountains of blood...

OOC: @FitzTheRuke , in my previous post #1369, I mentioned that Gimlaked moved to AF64 and crouched (for extra cover). I think you moved the colonel instead.

Continuing the onslaught, Gimlack warps reality and the northeast corner of the hall explodes, engulfing the bear and giants in flame. He then glances at the giant at the main gate, almost an afterthought now, and wills the debris to anihilate it.

OOC: Move: none
Action: cast fireball using 4th level spell slot centered on AR50 (da bear). This should avoid the footmen and affect YHG and HG1 as well. 32 fire damage or Dex save DC 17 for half

Bonus action: direct the animated objects to attack HG3, then move north to aj-ak-64-65 (30ft movement)
Attack 1/damage: 25/7
Attack 2/damage: 16/5
Attack 3/damage: 11/8 miss
Attack 4/damage: 11/6 miss
Attack 5/damage: 28/6 crit
Attack 6/damage: 10/5
Attack 7/damage: 27/7
Attack 8/damage: 16/6
Attack 9/damage: 10/6 miss
Attack 10/damage: 17/6

crit: 3

Total damage (B): 45

Doc advances into the hall, and seeing a big ugly at the other end, looses two more pieces o' lead from the peacemaker, grimly smilin' with satisfaction as they both hit the mark.

OOC:
Move to AB 54 (no penalty for terrain).
Move Hex to HG1 (bonus action)
Fire long range (disadvantage) HG1
First shot (dis): 1D20+9 = [9]+9 = 18
1D20+9 = [10]+9 = 19

Second shot (dis): 1D20+9 = [19]+9 = 28
1D20+9 = [6]+9 = 15

That's a surprise!
Damage: 1D10+5 = [9]+5 = 14
1D6 = [5] = 5
1D10+5 = [6]+5 = 11
1D6 = [6] = 6

36 damage to HG1

The Giant at the South gate appears to fall, and the Colonel, right where he means to be leaning against a support post for cover, shouts to it -- "That one!". A face appears on the back of the elenmental's head, which now is looking into the room, and its spine (or what a viewer would take for a spine) recurves in the other direction, as if the dirt and rock that hold the thing togehter had reshaped and turned it around. Slowly, inexorably, it sinks into the earth and emergest in front of the Hill giant in the top corner of the room.

The Coloonel moves around the body of the fallen giant, beside the huge central firepit. As he does, he makes eye contact with the Stone Giant Laethar, and the genasi gives the giant a friendly salute. He then turns his attention to the remaining giants in the NE corner, and again the Colonel attempts to pull down sacred flames on it.

OOC: Elemental: Move and "dash" to AO-AP 54-55, burrowing 40+40 feet. Boo!

The Colonel: concentrating on the elemental:
Move to AJ60
Attack: DC 18 Dex save or 3d8=11 radiant damage to HG1.
