"I'd insult you again, but I don't think you're smart enough to get it," Eoghan murmured, then realizing it made a reasonable jibe he repeated it louder, with bardic force behind it.

OOC: Eoghan uses Vicious Mockery on Orog5. DC 15 WIS save or 3 psychic damage and disadvantage on next attack.
Vicious Mockery: 2D4 = [2, 1] = 3

Tenibor followed Valda, who rounded the corner and arrived near the Orog just in time to see it fall to Quinn's flame and Jack's quarrel. (Whether it had understood Eoghan's jibe was left to the gods, as it fell before it made any obvious reaction).

The excavation site fell quiet, with only the sound of Cordit, who struggled to get her shaggy ape-body through a narrow spot, and then got a leg stuck in a hole that was nearly large enough for her to fall into.

OOC: Fight's over. Here's a map where everyone is at:

Fifty feet past Bible, up a sloping and twisting tunnel, there was a high ledge. On that ledge, Jack and Tenibor could hear a deep grinding, breathing sound that could only come from two sleeping stone giants. How they had slept through the sound of battle was perplexing, until one remembered that the sound of dwarves and orcs digging while orogs beat them was not unlike the sound of battle. (In particular when it echoed up a rocky tunnel.)

Eoghan, having realized he's not the stealthiest, stays well back from the sleeping giants to let those that can get close do so.

~<If you are going in close, do so and coordinate your attacks. If they survive, the rest of us will step up.>~

Bible gives a short nod at Jack's suggestion, and after retrieving her second axe from the cavern floor and stowing it in her belt she creeps forward cautiously, keeping an eye peeled for a way to get the rescued prisoners out and to safety.
