Prayer that her companion could make it through the black tentacle unharmed. Quellathe spoke a command to Naeris, sending her to help Uhtred. Quellathe followed Naeris into the room, planning to drop a healing potion from her pouch on or by Tirion as she passed him.

[section]Levanna lurched with the effort of countering the Drow witch's spell. This time, she was not so fortunate. She was quick and her spell was powerful, and together they overwhelmed Levanna's defenses. The black tentacles whipped at her, smacking into her abdomen and across the side of her head.

Angered, Levanna grunted out her arcane phrase. Her body transformed into silvery smoke in the shape of her silhouette. The cloud shot across the room to the door the drow woman exited, where Levanna's body reformed. She stepped through, holding her staff ahead of her to illuminate the space beyond. In her hand, she conjured a globe of acid, ready to hurl at the drow witch should she see her.

In the back of her mind, a voice cautioned Levanna to not get drawn too far away from her friends who were still in danger.[/section]

[sblock=actions]Levanna will use a bonus action to cast Misty Step to the door. She'll move beyond the door and out of sight of the drow with crossbows and look for the witch. If she can spot her, she'll cast Acid Splash cantrip at her. Dex save vs DC 15 or she takes [roll0] damage. Save for no damage.

As before, she'll use her reaction to cast Counterspell or Shield.[/sblock]

As the room darkened around him, Tirion felt black tentacles slam into him and wrap around him. He felt a different kind of darkness descend. Unseen by the others, the cleric sunk into unconsciousness again.

GM: You don't need flanking in 5th ed. with your Surprise attack. If you have an ally adjacent to you, you deal the extra damage. Flanking does not really get you anything in 5th ed. anymore
 

Seeing his allies suffer from the magic, Kelvyn redoubles his efforts to clear a path to the female Drow before she makes good her escape. He tries a cunning twist of his blade in an attempt to bring down the guard.

Uhtred swung out with his axe against the Drow guards but they were too nimble again, slipping away from his blade with deadly precision. Quellathe was able to leap out of the darkening swills before any of the strange whirling tentacles could grab her, but the others were not so lucky! Naeris, Levanna and Tirion were all grabbed by their black tendrils! Tirion passed out from the pain and wounds he had already suffered!!! Levanna mystically steps out of the darkness and behind the drow guards and followed the witch into the tunnel beyond. She easily caught up with the woman and flung and acidic globe at the witch but she dodge it. Glancing back she hissed something at Levanna. Kelyvn also stashed at the guards in front of him but could not get past their defense!

Then the witch turns back towards the wizard with a hiss of arrogance and another dark greenish bolt forms in her hands and smashes into Levanna, but at the last second the wizard was able to counter the spell with her own magic and its dark evil energies simple washed over her without harm!! Outside the blackness falls away as the witch stopped concentrating on it, reveling a wounded Naeris and an unconscious Tirion!!! The drow guards last out at the two heroes and the enemy dwarf, both scoring moderate strikes against the pair but missing the dwarf. The slaver dwarf seems to be confused and shakes his head as if too clear but can’t seem to overcome his hatred of the drow!

EDIT: Levanna used Counterspell vs. the Drow Witch, so updated those results...

Quellathe made her save and moved out of the darkness. She can drop the potion on her way by on her action, but as Tirion is unconscious its’ not going to do him much good. You make your save at the beginning of your turn and all.
Levanna failed her save and took the damage (12 HP bring her down to 18) and then teleported out. With you move you easily see the Drow Witch who is moving down a tunnel maybe 5-10ft ahead of you. She casts her Acid Splash at the Drow Witch, Dex save: 1D20+2 = [15]+2 = 17, made it.
Tirion failed his Dex save and falls unconscious from the damage.
Kelyvn missed the Drow guard.

Badguys
Drow Witch will drop the concentration and cast Witch Bolt at Levanna (she would cast Lightning Bolt but that would also hit her guards!!). She is also casting it as a 2nd level spell slot, Spellcasting attack roll, damage if she hits: 1D20+6 = [17]+6 = 23; 2D12 = [11, 4] = 15, this would have been a hit, but Levanna uses her Reaction to cast Counterspell negating it (it is under 4th level so no roll required).
Drow Guards, attack Uhtred, Kelvyn and the Dwarf in that order, Attack rolls, Damage if they hit: 1D20+6 = [20]+6 = 26; 1D8+2 = [8]+2 = 10
1D20+6 = [20]+6 = 26; 1D8+2 = [1]+2 = 3
1D20+6 = [6]+6 = 12; 1D8+2 = [4]+2 = 6
, two freaking critical hits in a row?? Wow, extra damage vs. Uhtred and Kelvyn, crit damage: 1D8 = [4] = 4
1D8 = [1] = 1
, so Uhtred took 14 (-3), 11 damage (bring him down to 42 HP) and Kelvyn took 4 damage (bring him down to 19). The last drow missed the dwarf.
The Dwarf is going to make a new Will save this round… Will save vs. DC 15: 1D20+1 = [9]+1 = 10, failed but that’s all he does this round.

OOC: I think your location for Quellathe is wrong; she and Naeris entered the room; Q made it through the area of the black tentacles.


With the dissipation of the darkness, Quellathe could see Tirion passed out on the floor. Calling Naeris to join her, she dashed to Tirion, grabbed the healing potion she had dropped, and poured it down Tirion's throat, all the while keeping an eye on the drow guards.
