D&D 5E [IC] Against the Slavelords

GM: I am going to let you assume you have 10 minutes but not much more. It all depends on where the Dwarf teleported too on how fast guards might arrive.
So go ahead and use the spells

Sighing with relief the party leans against walls or sits at the table within the room after the dwarf had disappeared, many just barely on their feet after the exchange. The table has some open scrolls upon it with a stack of what looks to be at least 500 gold pieces and a number of small precious gems.

Kelvyn recovers the four rapiers and hand crossbows that the drow were using but perhaps more importantly four small vials of the sleeping poison that they had used with such efficiency against the group. He also collected the four fine silk cloaks that have a slight magical aura about them. They also had a total of just over 100 gold pieces of coin in the pouches. The female drow was burned very badly and nothing on her seem to have survived the fireball that killed her.

GM: The drow poison, when applied to a piercing weapon, if the target is hit they suffer the damage and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution save throw or be poisoned for one hour. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more the target is unconscious while poisoned in this way. The target wakes if the target takes damage or if another creature takes an action to shake it awake.
There are enough for 24 "doses" BUT if the poison is exposed to sunlight it loses it potency.
Same as the Shadow Cloaks that when worn grant Advantage on Stealth checks

[section]"Not well," Levanna answered, still holding her leg. "Beside this wound, I magically exerted myself. I'm afraid that I can't cast many more spells before I must rest and fully recover."

Time was still of the essence, she knew. She continued reading the scrolls to see if any useful information could be gleaned from them.
[/section]

OOC: Levanna is Investigating the scrolls. And does she have time to use her Arcane Recovery ability? And spend Hit Dice?

GM: A short rest is an hour so you would probably not think so. The room you hide out in yesterday is probably still safe, unless they have a way to track you... You can make an Investigation roll, but most of the writing is in Elf and Dwarf, with some notes in common and undercommon

Quickly reading over the parchments Levanna is fairly certain that they are slave sales figures, how much for each slave based on race, sex, age, health etc. There appears to be no 'skilled' set requirement, instead the younger the slave the higher the price the drow were willing to pay...

Where: Port Fury/Beneath the Temple
When: 3.5/Morning
Round 0

“Do we need to withdraw, then?” Tirion asked Levanna. “We could return to the surface and try again tomorrow. “I have few spells remaining, as well, which I will have to reserve for healing.”

[OOC: We just had a long rest, correct? So we can’t benefit from another until tomorrow.[/OOC]

As Quellathe continued her ministrations, Tirion finished his preparations and began his chant. It went on for ten minutes, but as it crescendoed in volume at the end, they felt a surge of warmth through their bodies as wounds closed.

OOC: Prayer of Healing: 2D8+8 = [7, 1]+8 = 16
And Tirion gets another 4 from Blessed Healer.

GM: Yes you just took a long rest this morning so you need a whole day to get it again. You have a few choices. You could go down the tunnel where the Drow came from (and were trying to flee). It is extremely unlikely that the Drow have any nearby base or outposts. This group looked to have traveled a ways to get here. You could hold up in the room you camp in last night. This could be dangerous if the slavers are looking for you and search the area. Or you could return to the surface and back into the city. This could be a bit dangerous also for if the slavers see you leave they might know how you would come back in. Just from you short exploration there did not seem to ever be patrols through the burnt out area but then you sense some undead creature in that area. There was also the abandoned grave site and tomb on the surface in the courtyard but again you sense some kind of unnatural evil there.

[section]"Ah... thank you Tirion," Levanna said as she felt his healing magic wash away the worst of her wounds. She stiffly got back to her feet and smiled.

"As for withdrawing, I would not argue against that," she continued, chuckling. She passed a glowing hand over her clothing, expelling the dried blood staining the fabric. "But whatever we decide, count on my support so long as I am able to cast spells."

Levanna gestured at the papers at the table. "That information may be relevant to the decision. They are sales figures for slaves. The price seemed to be set on general physical health and age, without regard to skills. And the younger slaves command a higher price."

Levanna's expression fell. "Perhaps we could have learned more from their leader. I regret killing her with such destructive force that nothing useful remains, but it was all I could do to hold her at bay. I feared if I did not, she could have killed me or one of us at any moment."[/section]

Kelvyn offers a smile to Levanna. "Do not trouble yourself over their leader. I suspect anything less drastic would have cost us dearly or let her escape. I hesitate to go back to the surface as we had to sneak into this place. But we should leave this area and do our best to cover our tracks." He slips on one of the cloaks. "These should help us avoid the slavers should they come seeking us."

Uhtred
Fighter 6

"Kelvin is right." Uhtred assured Levana, "Her spells nearly killed several of us, to do anything less would have been risky." As he finishes checking over the dead he says, "We should get moving. I managed to escape the worst of their attacks, but I'm only one dwarf. I agree we can't really go back out now. It would be good to scout a little more, but I don't want to run into another "meeting". And they know we are here now as well"

OOC: How are we dealing with loot? is there a group treasurer or just divvy things up as we get it.
