Legend
Dellrak, Miss Imogen, & Kasqa
Dellrak rushed forward, axe in hand, but his vision was blurred and he felt his head swim. It was as bad as after a night of drinking his grandfather's mead. "But yet I've nae had the joy o' the drink" he thought as he stumbled over a root.
The beast took advantage of the moment to strike - it leapt into the air, and Dellrak saw the fiendish toe-claws. Then Miss Imogen's arrow struck the beast and it stumbled sideways. She had fired four arrows but Dellrak had not seen the other three as they disappeared into the grass and he did not see the disappointment she felt; nor did he notice the way her hands shook as she shivered, freezing in the Chultan heat.
The dwarf was ready to defend himself, holding his axe between himself and the jaws of the beast. Then Kasqa threw one of his three spears into the beast and it fell on its side. Dellrak heard a chirping noise and he saw a smaller, younger version of the creature moving through the grass behind its fallen parent.
