"Off to Slow Al's!" dramatically pointed Fastus, ignoring the bit about the adventurers for now.

He'd have liked to have a quiet moment with Elli during the whole 'wake' thing, but it hadn't come about somehow, what with all the people coming and going, asking questions, shaking their hands, fists, crying...

OOC: Does anybody want to get the remaining skulls and things to the local priest/priestess for burial or something? If so, maybe we should split up? (Fastus'll go to the taxidermist).

If Jakira comes with:
"What do panthers like for their rewards?" inquired Fastus of Jakira, curious. "Raw meat? Milk?"

"Really big mice," hazards Sachiko, appearing from wherever she'd gotten off to. She'd snuck off by herself before the big unveiling it seemed. "Turnips!"

"So that's all done right?" she added anxiously. "We can go back to the map thing now?"

"I am amenable to hitting the trail again immediately," offers Suldrel. "Surely someone else can handle these little details regarding the dead monster while we continue our business.

Jakira padded after the blacksmith as he was going to take the prize trophy to someone named Al. His tone was a little indignant as they though him so mundane to like a reward fit for an alley cat. “Pshaw, those be only trrreats forrr a kitty. I be morrre sufistokatorrred than that. I like shinies, ya know. Gold and gems.”

Jariah stayed with Suldrel and agreed, “Yes, we have plenty of time to get a decent start on our journey into the swamp again.” The female summoner mentally called her eidolon back from straying too far.

Jakira stopped going to the taxidermist and appeared to be disappointed. “My mistrrress is callin' me back. She says that Suldrrrel says it be time ta go agin.”

Unless Elsbeth picks the magical bracers back up, Jariah intended to do so before they left them lying there on the ground.

"Too bad," Fastus commiserated with the big cat. And: "We'll meet you guys on the way!" he called back to the white elf and Jakira's mistress with a happy wave.

OOC: He'll deliver the beast to the taxidermist and then try to catch up to the group, please TS.

Elsbeth

Elsbeth stood quietly while the family members collected what they could identify. After, Fastus wanted to bring the body of the beast to the taxidermist. The sheriff said that she could have the bracers since none of the family members had claimed them. It still felt uncomfortable to her taking something that valuable that had belonged to a dead person, a victim of the beast.

"I will take the bracers until we can identify the heirs of the previous owner."

The group minus Fastus heads back toward Brinestump Marsh. Fastus takes the carcass of the Soggy River Monster to the taxidermist to have it stuffed. The group heads on into the marsh just as Fastus arrives behind them, having delivered the carcass he was now ready to join back up with the group. The group travels to the burned up goblin village. Then they travel though the marsh to the first, and closest, 'X' on the fan map. As they approach the marked spot they see what appears to be a recently burned-out hulk of a shipwreck. Parts are still smoldering. It would appear that it was burned within the last few days. Sifting through what is left you find two fragments each bearing the name: "Kaijitsu Star". Perhaps the ship's name?

The young blacksmith was sweaty and breathing heavier when he rejoined them, thanks to all that forced trotting to catch up, but he looked downright HAPPY. "Sal says he can sow up the ripped bits with some extra-thick thread, give it a BURNING cool zombie look or something," he called as soon as he got within sight of the group. "Oh, and Feder'll give us a BIG slice of oak for the base FOR FREE -- although we got to sand and paint - varnish - it ourselves and stuff!"

They were really getting a GOOD reputation in town these days!

"Hi, Elli!"

The group travels to the burned up goblin village. Then they travel though the marsh to the first, and closest, 'X' on the fan map.
"So you want gold and gems to sit on them like a dragon or something?" he asked jakira on the way over to the first X, resuming that conversation as if it had never stopped.

OOC: Short on time so holding reaction to the ship for later. Fastus isn't too good at reading anyways. :)

Jakira huffed at the insinuation that he was like a dragon. “No, I would not hoarrrd them. But sum good collarrrrs would be nice, studded with gems.”

As they poked around the burned out shipwreck, Jariah looked at the writing, “Do you suppose this has a relation with Ameiko? Is her family into shipping?” She did not think that so likely.

Elsbeth

Elsbeth looked at the burned out remains and at the writing.

"I am unaware of Ameiko being involved in shipping. Perhaps some other family member? She may have cousins that are involved in the shipping business."
