"From the old country?" suggested Fastus with a hopeful grin, already elbow deep in the soot. "She's the last one in town, you know?" He looked back at the ship's remains with some awe: "Imagine: All the way from TIAN!"

This is where the chest and things came from, obviously... Lucky goblins!

"I guess lady panthers like that sort of stuff?" He commented to Jakira about the collar thing as he searched, not sounding all that sure actually. He liked the 'panther hoard' idea MUCH BETTER...

OOC: Searching what's left of the ship and its surroundings too, please. Any sign of what might have happened to the crew/passengers? 1D20 = [5] = 5
OOC: Oh and can he tell anything about the cause of the fire, TS? Flame oracle knowledge, I guess: 1D20+4 = [11]+4 = 15

"Kaijutsu star," says Sachiko deliriously. "It IS from Tian!" She ignores, or perhaps doesn't hear Fastus say that Ameiko is the only one from Tian in the village...perhaps because she's too busy charging into the shipwreck to see what's left inside!

Suldrel follows his sister into the wreckage, carefully surveying it for signs of structural instability. "This seems a bit chancy but I suppose if we do not move or disturb anything carelessly we should avoid any sudden collapse," he says warily as he gazes about.

"Eh Wireth, can you tell anything from the tracks or something? Did the skeletons rise from here? To hunt for their stolen gold, right?"

That would buuurn!

OOC: Are you still there jkason?
OOC: Fastus meant 'the last Kaijitsu in town', but wasn't very clear about it. :) Sorry.

Wireth Norin, half-orc falconer

After the Soggy Monster, Wireth wandered about in a kind of fugue. He recognized it, but try as he might, he couldn't quite ... find words. He wondered if the thing's flesh had some odd poison on it, but Fastus seemed to have no trouble at all with speaking. Maybe it only affected those with orc blood?

Wouldn't that be lovely, one more downfall from his own heritage. At least he could move, and look. And once the town gathered around them, the haze that fogged his thoughts and stilled his tongue seemed almost a blessing; he never could find the right words in crowds. Especially crowds of humans.

More moving. More fog, and then, somewhere around the time the littlest human pounced into the ship, the fog thinned. Fastus' voice cut through. Wireth turned, slowly, to the blacksmith, and with effort focused his gaze. He squinted, making the words make sense. Then, finally, he nodded and knelt to the ground, looking at the tracks.

"I don't know much about undead, but let's see what we can find. Also, someone might want to stop Sachiko before she opens the door to the hold?" he added, pointing to where Sachi was rushing to enter the ship.

"Ah, SULDREL's with her," dismissed the blacksmith after a quick look that way. And Sachi could take care of herself plenty too!

He peered down at where the big orc was looking with steady interest, although burn it if he knew what they were both looking FOR. "How does this tracking thing work anyway? All I can see are smudges and dips..." And a twig there maybe.

Elsbeth

Elsbeth took a quick look around. She didn't expect to see anything since she reasoned the ship had been here for many years. The burning of it looked a lot more recent and probably had no meaning. Likely it was just vandalism.

While Fastus and Wireth walked around looking for tracks, a task she was entirely unsuited for, she decided someone should keep an eye on Sachiko. The young woman could certainly get into trouble easily enough.

"Fastus, I'm going into the ship to try to keep Sachiko out of trouble." she yelled over to him prior to entering the remains of the ship.

Jariah Taliaferro, Human Female

Without any real information coming to mind, Jariah chalked up the mystery of the name as something to ask the tavern owner about when they returned. "I am guessing the goblins burnt the wreck after looting it. It is what they do."

"I will wait out here."
She nodded for her eidolon to go ahead and stay with Sachiko and Suldrel.

Jakira padded after the others as they moved to explore. "of courrrse the lady felines love jeweled collarrrs."

"Fastus, I'm going into the ship to try to keep Sachiko out of trouble." she yelled over to him prior to entering the remains of the ship.
"Has that ever worked?" smiled the blacksmith, waving her good luck before facing the ground once more. He'd NEVER figure this tracking thing out!

Nat 20! That 19 is is now at least a 21. :)
