Net result: that particular 'gap' no longer existed. BUT Sachiko was creating a new one for him even as all this was going on.

So Fastus finished straightened, shield in hand and already gratefully diving into the opening she left for him. But as he did so he caught sight of Elsbeth through the doorway, lying there in her own blood... "ELLI!" Those near him could literally FEEL the heat blast of his emotions pulsing out.

He snapped back to the creature, eyes filled with hurt and rage: "YOU BASTAAAARD!" And his shout was suddenly a wide jet of roaring red flames licking at the cause of his misery!

[sblock=Actions]Move equivalent: Draw shield, AC now 18.

Jakira was finally in position to really start going to town on the creature. After having his way blocked from pouncing before, he had to settled for a single bite. Now he was slashing and gnashing up close and personal.

“This warrrden is tuff furrr a halfling.” The feline eidolon had not liked the previous taste and it had demotivated Jakira in wanting to even touch the creature. After all that fury, he had not done a think to the warden.

Jakira shifted position to the right at his mistress’s mental instructions, opening a gap between him and Festus for Suldrel to potentially have an easier time reaching the bugger.

UPDATED MAP - Jakira

Elsbeth was down. Wireth was down. Sachiko was standing right there next to the creature... The anger with Suldrel boils over and he begins stabbing madly at the "Warden" with his spear. Alas, with the elf not quite thinking straight he is not able to quite correctly judge his enemies movements.

OOC: Rage, Attack: 1d20+6=14, 1d8+7=9 . This is not the dramatic attack I had been looking for, :erm: .

Brinestump Marsh: Walthus' House Combat - Round 2 Wrapup

The creature lashes out with its arm and hits Wireth with a slam attack for 8 points of damage and drains some blood (-1 CON) and the half-orc goes down.

Things are going pretty fast by this point, and no sooner has Sachiko stung her opponent than everyone else piles on as well, with Fastus leading the way as he pushes the creature into the cabin and the others go racing in after him! Undeterred, she crouches and leaps into the cabin, vaulting over the feline form of Jariah's eidolon, then rolling into a somersault and bouncing up to her feet to confront the creature!
"I'll teach you to lie about giant snakes!" she declares, then, just to show her priorities are in the right place she adds, "And for probably killing the warden too!"
Again her blade goes snicker-snack and hits the creature in the midsection.

"Holy mother- It's so FAST!" exclaimed Fastus, scrambling for his shield even as blood continued trickling out of his newly-minted wounds (with the adrenaline he didn't even feel them though!). "Sachi, move! You're in my way!"
Jariah was bringing up the rear, but mental communication going back and forth with her eidolon was keeping her apprised of the precarious situation inside the house. He companions were in bad shape.
She followed after and stopped just outside the doorway, able to see what was going on for herself. She cast a cantrip again and touched her eidolon to provide Jakira with a little extra competence.
Jariah answered Fastus, “You can just wait a moment and Jakira will shift out of the way. Then let Sudrel use his longer reach before you close the gap.”

The turkey vulture makes an odd, strangled noise as it glances to the fallen half-orc, then sweeps forward, past Faustus and over Jakira. The bird snaps out with its beak, but fails to connect.

Wireth does not stablize and looses another hit point as he continues to bleed.

Brinestump Marsh: Walthus' House Combat - Round 3

Initiative:
25 Creature
21 Sachiko (DEX 18)
21 Jariah (DEX 16)
20 Elsbeth (unconscious)
17 Nairo
15 Fastus (unconscious)
11 Wireth (unconscious)
9 Jakira
5 Kaodi

The creature lashes out with its arm and hits Fastus with a slam attack for 8 points of damage and drains some blood (-1 CON) and the blacksmith goes down.

If you move your game piece(s) on the map post an update. Also note that there are two maps. New maps are here. Please post in initiative order. Creature has gone, Sachiko is up next.

For Fastus on your turn make a stabilize roll. That is a DC 10 Constitution check with minuses for points below 0. For this round it would be 1d20-6 (Con is now 10, so max HP is 9, took a total of 15 damage so check is 1d20 +0 current CON bonus -6 current HPs).

For Wireth on your turn make a stabilize roll. That is a DC 10 Constitution check with minuses for points below 0. For this round it would be 1d20-5 (Con is now 12, so max HP is 9, took a total of 15 damage so check is 1d20 +1 current CON bonus -6 current HPs).

Sachiko glanced over as Fastus took his place, and was cut down in short order. She felt a pang, but just as fast that stab of fear transmuted to anger. And where Fastus' burned hot, Sachiko turned cold. Her yellow-green eyes narrowed, and her lips peeled back from her mouth, exposing her teeth. She growled low in her throat; a noise better suited to a wolf or dog than a cute young girl.

"NnnnnYAGH!" she howled, and jinked sideways, ducked and jumped the other way, then with horrible speed suddenly rushed forward, straight at the monster! It lashed out as she came in, and she threw herself down to roll under the blow. Just as fast, she was back on her feet and crashed into the beast sword-first in a move that looked wild and undisciplined, but still managed to hit...and did so with devastating force!

Sachiko twisted as she pushed back away...leaping off of the creature and flipping around in midair to land on her feet, her sword in her hand covered in its ill-smelling, discolored blood.

It appeared that the fun and games were over.

[roll0] to hit, for [roll1] damage.

(argh, I can't edit in the threat confirmation!)
