"I haven't the time nor the energy to go into all the details. Perhaps one day I will be able to recall the details. But today I am busy running the Rusty Dragon and the Sandpoint Glassworks."
She'd lost him with the details thing... "Uh, what details?" Then he shook that away: she seemed to think he was STILL trying to convince her to come -- or something. "I'm talking about YOU here! You not being you, I mean." Burn it, how do you say that?

He took a deep breath and held it, tried to pull on skills she herself had thought him, by being around her: "I... I'm saying I don't recognize you. And that worries me- Us - Worries us. Do you REALLY not want to come? If you could, I mean. Why were you embarrassed," UNCOMFORTABLE? AMEIKO? "when we asked?"

There was a time when she would have just laughed - a real one, right? - and waved them out the door like naughty children.

He looked troubled, which is what he was. (Burn it this wasn't as easy as it looked!) "Talk to me. Please?"

OOC: Diplomacy +6 if need be (+2 coming from his connection with her).

EDIT= Oh, and what does Fastus know about the Glasswork re Ameiko, TS, if anything? Taking 10 on Knowledge local +6, please.

"Yes, I am getting that impression," mutters Suldrel to the half-orc. Seeing that the blacksmith is still trying to cajole Ameiko into action, the elf decides perhaps it is time someone laid down the law. Putting his hand on the table he rises to his feet and says very loudly and clearly, "Fastus, enough." Suldrel gazes sternly at the young man and adds, "Sit down, and let us hash out which of the locations we want to investigate first. And then we can be on our way."

Fastus didn't even turn around, instead doing an exasperated gesture for: 'Go ahead. Busy now.'

He had eyes for only one person right now.

OOC: Suldrel might have missed something if he really thinks Fastus is trying to cajole an action out of anybody at this point, Kaodi. Perceptions will vary, of course.

"Yes! I count you, Sachiko and Elsbeth as friends. But as a friend I am asking you to give me some space for now. I am fine but work is busy right now."

OOC: The Glassworks is a family business that she now runs since her father and half-brother died recently.

"Oh." Fastus mussed his hair, still troubled: it didn't really answer the main 'desire for adventure' thing, but if work was the problem... "I can stay and help?"

Or did she want space more than help? Burnt it if he STILL had no idea what was going on with her, really, if anything, but... Getting into the mood of the new project: "Oh and I got friends just laying about, right? I'm sure the others have too!" It was always the off-seasons in SOMETHING, right? This village had built BARNS together just last fall - big ones too -, he was fairly sure they could handle an inn!

(Now he'd spent most of his share buying that chest and those fireworks, but he could trade those in EASY and pay for everybody's food too! Perfect!)

Ameiko didn't look so sure though, so he quickly added: "I'm only offering, right? You decide."

Jariah had a few moment to think and she answered her eidolon's concern about the goblin bounty. The did not know if there would be more of the short buggers out in the swamp causing trouble, but it was good to know they were worth something if they brought back the ears. Morbid thought, but the little heathens were evil and killers.

Her thoughts and mental conversation were interrupted by Sachiko, leaning against the inn's wall not far away. She thought it start the chatting girl was just watching her.

"I am fine. Are we ready to go yet?"

"Pretty much," Sachiko replied amiably. "Once Fastus is done pestering Ameiko...maybe with her handprint across his cheek." She chuckled at the thought of that.

"Anyway, we're just about ready to go."

Sachiko scratched her cheek and added, "You like being off by yourself sometimes, huh?"

Wireth gives the elf's forceful show a respectful nod. He didn't quite feel comfortable imposing himself on the humans yet, so he was impressed.

As Fastus continued to press Ameiko, going so far as to offer to stay and help her with the business, Wireth shrugged.

"Better shares for us, I suppose," he offers at the blacksmith's dismissal, and turns to those gathered.

"I imagine Sachiko will drag Jariah and Jakira back in short order, but it doesn't hurt to have the skeleton of a plan when they get here. Which of the locations from the fan map is closest? It seems to make the most sense of me to start close and move further out. That way, if we wind up needing to retreat, our road back is cleared. I'd hate to circumvent something, only to have it wind up sneaking from behind and biting our backsides."

The elf nods, "Yes, that does seem prudent." He pauses for a moment, shifting his weight and says, "What do you think, Elsbeth?"

Ameiko didn't look so sure though, so he quickly added: "I'm only offering, right? You decide."

"I believe we have everything covered here. Besides won't the others be lost without you?" This last bit is delivered with a hint of a smile.
