"Uh...That belongs to the victim's family, you know?" Fastus pointed out, frowning at Jariah with renewed puzzlement. There she goes again, acting weird... He shook that away: out of towners, right? "Though they'll PROBABLY give it to you if you ask, Elli!" So that was good news!

And they probably would too -- unless it was a family heirloom or something, right?

Jariah scowled back as once again Fastus was mean to her again in his body language. She pulled back the magical bracers before Elsbeth took them and said, “No, I do not know who they belong to. Whatever, I will just keep them.”

She put them into her pack and started walking with Jakira back the way they had come. There had not been anything else of note in the searching for magical auras, so there was little reason to tarry longer.

"No you won't," blinkingly corrected Fastus, still not getting what SHE wasn't getting, "that's the WHOLE point. Oh!" He raised his eyebrows in realization: "Or did you mean right now, for the trip over?"

Now THAT would actually make sense!


OOC: Fastus will pick up his end of the 'skulll hammock' when Suldrel is ready.

The elf obligingly grabs and hoists. He is oddly at peace with lugging around a bunch of human skulls, but remaining near the Soggy River Monster's lair any longer is... unappealing.

Elsbeth was confused. First Jariah offered her the bracers she had found. Then Fastus argued against it. Yes, they lawfully belonged to the person who had purchased them but they were dead. Perhaps they should be given to that persons family but how would they ever be able to figure that out?

Oh well, she would just have to save her money and buy some for herself. Unless, of course, they defeated a very bad person or creature and they had some. Then it would be okay to keep them.

She just shrugged her shoulders for now and resigned herself to the fact that she would likely never understand human behavior.

"Back to Sandpoint now?"

The group heads back the way they came carrying the remains and clothing. Finally they have returned to where they hung the creature's body. It is still just like they left it.

OOC: I wasn't sure if you wanted to take the body back as well. So We pause here for that decision.

"Sorry. About the bone pile thing," Fastus told Elli as they started walking. "Was so sure there'd be SOMETHING in there... Something bothering you?"


When they got to the Soggy's tree: "You want to take my place, Sachi?" He'd just tied the hammock's rope around his neck, like HE was a tree or something. "Me and Wireth can take the big guy, EASY! Right Wireth?"


OOC: If Wireth agrees, Fastus'll help unhang the Soggy and start carrying it back to town.

"I can take him!" Sachiko protested hotly, then looked at the massive Soggy corpse and added, "Buuuuuut, okay. You go ahead."

Jariah kept her own council as she led the way back to the tree where they left the monster’s corpse. She was conversing mentally with her eidolon of course. Once they reached the tree, she waited patiently for the others to collect the trophy and move out once more.

Jariah resumed her normal place in the back of the group enroute Sandpoint, but Jakira nearly pranced next to the dead monster. He was damned sure that he was not going to sleep through getting credit for killing the thing this time.
