D&D 5E (IC) Rise of the Dracolich

Primus sighed deeply. “I can find her. Well, I can get close. Within a mile or three. Give me an hour and I’ll stretch out my mind.”

OOC: Using Find Creature.

Find Creature (2 psi; conc., 1 hr.). You cast your mind about for information about a specific creature. If you concentrate for this option’s full duration, you then gain a general understanding of the creature’s current location. You learn the region, city, town, village, or district where it is, pinpointing an area between 1 and 3 miles on a side (DM’s choice). If the creature is on another plane of existence, you instead learn which plane.

Mord frowned at the Archmage. They were being fleeced but had no way to prove it. "As you wish... Though Imami shall be informed that any future dealings with your brotherhood should be suspect without contractual proof of obligation at the very least. We shall collect my men and depart. Good day."

Mord then turned on his heel and walked out of the room without another word.

OOC: Intimidation?: [roll0]

Kalorn nodded, faintly, at the archmage, and followed Mord.

We'll need somewhere to confer with Imani. And Primus, I hope your powers aren't blocked by whatever is blocking the drow Archmage...

Seemed a bit arrogant of that sorcerer to think he could outdo the head of the Arcane Brotherhood - but then again, if he could... he had to admit he didn't know much about what Primus could do - or Mord for that matter.

The Archmage seemed honestly surprised that he wasn't being thanked for his generosity. He had performed several mid-level spells and had done some research, in exchange for what to him had been a simple business transaction involving a low-level spell and some basic deception. Still, he had understood that his news would disappoint them.

"If you have any specific requests to ask of the Brotherhood, I would be happy to discuss them. Otherwise, I wish you good fortune on your journey." said the Drow. The phrase sounding strange coming from a dark elf, but he appeared to mean in sincerely.

“Thank you, Master, for your help so far,” Primus said, tipping his hat. “We do have a small request. Our youngest member cannot accompany us on this mission, but we also have no way of getting him back to Imani. Would you be so kind as to board him under the protection of your grand Host Tower until we return, and barring that, send him on safely to Imani’s Tower? The boy is important to our cause.”

"I suppose I could use the services of an enterprising young man. He may work for his keep. He will be under the protection of the Brotherhood, as long as he does nothing foolish." agreed the Archmage, finishing with a warning. Luko nodded vigorously.

Kalorn nodded again to the Archmage, a bit deeper this time.

"You will find that he has a rare mix of boldness and caution. Has good instinct."

He gave Luko another coin - gold this time "Good luck kid. Keep using that noggin of yours, and you'll make it".

He turned to the others. It was time to confer with Imani. He wondered if they would hire the same ship? The oars might be more maneuverable than a full sailship...

Mord collected his minions and then used the towers stables to again summon his nightmare steed. The aasimar was done here and in no urge to waste more time with the brotherhood at this time.

Primus sat concentrating on the idea of Maccaath the Crimson, a woman he had never met. He found himself shivering, and his breath came in short gasps. When he opened his eyes and came to his Luskan surroundings, he could confirm two things: The Crimson was alive, and she was indeed on the iceburg known as Oyaviggaton.

OOC: It doesn't really give you much information, other than a "general understanding".

GM: Anything you want to do in Luskan before setting sail again? (Off the top of my head, Sesto may still want to visit the tent of Amaunator.) Otherwise, we should move on.
