Legend
Tommi & Enseth

Tommi crept along the bank. He slung a stone at the Hobgoblin with the topknot, and saw it bounce off the raider's forehead, leaving a large bloody welt. The Hobgoblin glanced his way quickly while pounding away at Enseth's shield, unable to find an opening.

Stepping back, the raider waved an arm toward Tommi, who had the sudden realisation that he was casting a shadow. He had moved into the dim light of the burning cottage and from behind that building, a hobgoblin with a longbow, strode out, nocking an arrow. The arrow flew through the air, and Tommi lost track of it in the smoke, but it came down on him and struck him in the thigh as he tried to dive for the ground. It wasn't a deep wound, but it hurt all the same.

Enseth took the opportunity that the hobgoblin boss had given him to step forward, hammering twice at the raider with his fist. The hobgoblin was quick, though, and he parried the better of the two blows with his sword and sidestepped the other.

Legend
Titus

The hobgoblin boss side-steped Titus' sword. He was no fool, and he knew his was desperately outnumbered. He nodded to the goblins near the second burning cottage, who ran between the buildings while firing their arrows. Titus was able to avoid two out of the three arrows that came at him, but the other one buried deep into his shoulder.

The crewmen hurled large river-stones at them as they ran, one hitting a goblin in the back, who grunted. "Get outta here ye rotten scum!" yelled one of the crewmen.

Snake rushes over to Dandin’s side as watches the landscape looking for additional targets. In a low voice he speaks over his shoulder to Dandin “I didn’t know you were trained in the healing arts?”

OOC:

I’m struggling a bit with how the two maps meet. Snake will ready watch over Dandi as he does his medicine check and ready a firebolt in case any enemy pops into view.

Firebolt to hit: 1d20+5 7
firebolt damage if hit: 1d10 4

Legend
Snake

Snake covered Dandin and the riverfolk as they rescued the downed crewman. His keen senses could tell that three goblins were up the hill in the tall grass, asleep from the magic that Dandin had sent at them, docile for now.

A goblin came between the two cottages behind him and Snake turned with a flourish, sending a small bolt of fire, which the goblin dove under, yelling "Eep!". In that direction, Lionel was still limping after the dragged-off woman. Everyone else was on the other side of the burning cottage.

GM: Ask for a map, get a map (Snake is hard to see at M31):
Gone: Snake

Dandin watched as the crewman was picked up and carried off. Then, as Snake spoke to him he have the feline a sheepish grin. "Neither did I!"

The firebolt drew him out of it ane he looked up to see the goblin coming out of the 'alley'. His friemd was on the wrong side of that business. So he decided to draw their attention to him.

"Hey you! That's right you over-fermented pile of rotten pears! Your mother smells of sewage and your father was a sewer rat!" Dandin waved at the goblin to make sure he had it's attention and then ducked back behind the corner of the house.

At the sight of the hobgoblin, Drui closes his fist around the hammer. Without a warning, he rises his weapon, swinging it in a provocative way right before attacking. To anyone, he'd at least look overconfident. Still, his true intention was to steal the beast's attention to himself while he attacked.

ATTACK: 175766 1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9 (I think I missed...)
DAMAGE 175771 1D8+3 = [6]+3 = 9
Again, sorry for the delay! I could only truly return today! :)

Legend
Drui

Turning the Hobgoblin's attention toward himself before attacking may not have been the best tactic, as the big Hobgoblin easily blocked Drui's hammer and roared for his small victory.

Spurred on, the goblin that was running down the bank from the raiding boat charged up to the sleeping Hobgoblin and pulled it's hair as hard as it could. The hobgoblin shoved the little cretin and rolled over, for a moment looking like it would go back to sleep. Then suddenly it's eyes opened wide as it remembered where it was and what it should be doing. The hobgoblin began to pull itself to it's feet.

GM: Gone: (PCs) Drui, (BGs) Goblin7, Hobgoblin2 awakens

Lionel moved as quickly as he could to help the captured woman. Moving in he engaged the creature holding her, hoping that his presence would slow them down.

"I'm coming lady!" he called out, hoping to reassure the woman. But he quickly realised what a ridiculous figure he must have cut, stout halfling, dusty, dirty, wet, with and arrow in his leg and a knife in his hand. Hardly a knight in shining armour.

[sblock=action]

Lionel is going to have to double move to do it be he wants to engage the one dragging the woman along.
He wont be able to attack but he may be able to stop them fleeing with her. [/sblock]

Angis listened to the hobgoblin yelling orders. “They ain’t givin’ no quarter, boyos! Take ‘em out wi’ prejudice!” he yelled to the others. He grunted as some goblins pounded on him. NOw he was hurting!

Moving away a bit more, Angis took aim at the goblins dragging the woman and marched forward, but the bolt flew wide.

Letting the crossbow fall to his hip on it sling, he pulled out his handaxes.
