Legend
As the room shifted, the mass of orcs that were travelling out of one portal and into another were thrown about, crashing into each other and tumbling to the ground. There were so many of them, that some were stuck in the now much smaller space between-space, tangled together. Some spilled out into the circular portal-chamber, disoriented.

Shalendra spun on Tommi, with a look of angry frustration combined with despair and sorrow on her twisted, half-shadow, half fire face. She lunged her sword at the lad, who twisted sideways at the first thrust, taking only a scratch. Then he danced back as she thrust again, and her blade came up short.

Across the shrinking room, the wall came up and bumped Lionel, who stumbled forward and found himself among a group of (thankfully) disoriented orcs. The wide door that was the entrance to the room shrunk quickly and the door frame threw Escella and Talynen to the ground, while Viarar shuffled sideways to stay within its arch.

Then the Red Wizard took an amber rod from his robes and slid it along a piece of rough felt. There was a spark, and then a flash as a bolt of lightning shot through Angis, Viarar, and slammed into the wall above Escella, showering her with sparks and little side-bolts as she was trying to regain her feet.

The two orc bodyguards moved to protect the Red Wizard from attackers, should any have survived.

OOC: Here's where things get rough: Shalendra does 11 (5 from uncanny dodge?) to Tommi; Red Wizard does 21 lightning to Angis, Vairar, and Escella (dc14 Dex save for "only" 10 damage). The orc bodyguards cause any attacks against the Red Wizard to be made at disadvantage (and they can Opportunity Attack anyone who choses to attack him, rather than them).

OOC: Vairar had small chance to save against DEX, he needs to weather it.
@FitzTheRuke did you inlcude in all HP those healed by Aura of Vitality?

Vairar grits his teeth as the lightning bolt jumps from his spear tip to the shield and into his armor. Shaking, barely on his feet, he manages to maintain the spell connecting him to the celestial realms pouring life energies into this world. The priest advances and calls down the counterpoint to the lightning bolt, hissing lightning followed by a booming thunder catching all three enemies in front of him.

Angis grunted as he was struck full force by the lightning bolt, and he could vaguely smell his beard burning as his eyes crossed a bit. Damn wizards! The orcs were getting in the way, though. The dwarf turned to take care of them, though, marking one with his magic. He chopped at the orc twice, and even threw in an attack at the second orc.

OOC: Yay Hordebreaker! Too bad I had to move hunter’s mark or I could have put a fourth attack on the first orc.

Tommi feels Gutter pulse as he slides it from his belt. The walls see to close in on him as the magic collapses, and he is strengthened by it, and by the healing he has been offered. He stands his ground, oblivious to what is around him.

His former ally stands before him, and there is no hesitation in the young man as he plants his feet, pulls back the blade, and swings at her. Yet the tears in his own eyes as he does so hinder the blade's progress. Gutter strikes a glancing blow [and she collapses?].

OOC: Yes, reaction for half damage in the previous turn.
This turn:
Bonus: Steady Aim [Tasha's] for advantage.

Legend
Angis fought hard to bring down the Red Wizard's body guards. He hacked at them with his axes, doing quite well before Viarar came up and blasted them back with the force of thunder. The Red Wizard stood his ground for a moment, as one of the two bodyguards fell and the other was thrust away. Then Escella blasted the other orc, and the Wizard thought better of remaining here. He shocked Angis with the remaining energy of his lightning bolt, and while the Dwarf was recovering, he moved back toward the furthest end of the room. He barked orders in a thick Thayan tongue and the disorganized orc mob found their wits and surrounded him. (Lionel too, found himself among the mob of orcs).

OOC: Angis did 8 & 9 to OB2 and 5 to OB1; Vairar healed himself 9 & struck Red Wizard & OB2 for 8 & OB1 for 16 & push; Escella did 9 to OB1 (because OB2 died). Red Wizard did 7 to Angis. Still Lionel and Talynen to go, and I'll resolve Tommi and Shalendra then.
