The wizard reached out and touched Angis with his sparking lightning hand. Angis jolted as the wizard slipped away from him.

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Talynen, still feeling weakness from the touch of the shadows stays back and pulls his elfcraft bow. The bows elves make are more technique than strenght and he is able to send two arrows streaking toward the retreating mage. But chaotic movement caused by the thunderous report of Vairars spell and the dust raised by it spoil his aim just enough for both arrows to fly past their intended target.

Lionel suddenly found himself amongst a throng of orcs. He looks at the closest and, all at once, realises just how small he is. He drops his crossbow and pulls up is shortsword. The orc looming over him looks menacing but in one swift movement, Lionel cuts through the Orc's thigh. The Orc slumps to the ground, unable to stand.

Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting check: 1D20+7 = [3]+7 = 10 vs Orc's Charisma (Deception).
Action: Short sword attack and damage: 1D20+7 = [17]+7 = 24, 1D6+4 = [5]+4 = 9. If Orc fails its Charisma (Deception) check, add Sneak Attack damage: 3D6 = [5, 3, 1] = 9
Move: Lionel does not move. He feels surrounded.
Across the shrinking room, the wall came up and bumped Lionel, who stumbled forward and found himself among a group of (thankfully) disoriented orcs.
 That was a 40 ft stumble across the room!

Legend
Talynen's arrows went harmlessly into the crowd of orcs as the Red Wizard took cover among them. Lionel, there as well, sized up an orc and stabbed it in the leg. The orc stumbled, but stood, drawing a greatsword from an oversized sheathe slung over its shoulder. Lionel regretted drawing attention to himself, but he dove aside as the orc brought the sword crashing down upon the ancient elvish stonework.

Planting his feet, Tommi looked carefully for an opening between Shalendra's sword and shield, and he thrust Gutter into it. Unfortunately for him, she was well-practiced in an Elvish style of wielding weapons while casting spells, and her magic caused a shimmering shield to block his attack. Then, her smouldering eye burst into flame and ignited her sword. She came at Tommi ferociously, as he ducked and weaved, and she scratched him lightly on his shoulder. The flaming sword caused his tunic to ignite, and flames erupted down his back.

OOC: Talynen missed. Lionel got the orc, but not with his sneak attack; Orc6 missed Lionel. Tommi nearly finished Shalendra, but she cast shield. Then she got him with a Searing Smite - 4 damage (Tommi can Uncanny Dodge it to make it only 2) and 5 fire damage. In addition, at the start of each of Tommi's turns, he must make a dc14 Con save or takes 1d6 fire damage. On a successful save, the spell ends. If Tommi or an ally within 5 feet it uses an action to put out the flames, the spell ends.

Escella Bok
AC 14; HP 8/33; HD 1/1d8 2/5d6 PP18 SS 2/4 1/3 2/2 SP 3/5; STR: 6/8; Concentration: Darkness spell

Using the power of twilight, Escella creates a magical darkness, 15' radius, emanating from the south corner shared by Orcs 5 & 6. The four compass points of the hemisphere are Q/R36/37 in the south, N/O33/34 in the west, Q/R36/37 in the north, and T/U33/34 in the east. She hopes Lionel can escape from the surrounding orcs as they will all have trouble finding him. She also hopes it stops the red wizard from hitting her and her friends with another lightning bolt. She takes a step to the left just to break up the line in front of her.

She can see through the darkness just fine. Hopefully no one else can.

She then waits for the Red Wizard or Shalendra to cast a spell, Escella will attempt to counter it, at 3rd level, if they do.

Morning
Round 3

With his orc opponent down, and most of the fight suddenly obscured by darkness, Angis moved his magical mark to the only visible enemy remaining, Shalendra. He marched up to the elf woman.

“Let me, boyo,” Angis told Tommi with a bit of compassion, then swung his axes at Shalendra.

OOC: If this downs Shalendra, Angis will pull the blow to nonlethally put her to the ground and not kill her.

"Damnation! How do I cast in this murk! Can anyone see inside? If yes, tell me when I get to the orcs!"
Vairar walks inside, keeping in mind last seen configuration of orcs, straight forward should do.
OOC: measured steps 8 or maybe 10...he will make it 9.

As he counts he waits for a call that might help him, but listening hard at the mass of orcs in front of him. When he judges he is in front of them, he calls out to his patron and blasts blindly into the group channeling all the power he can.

Deafening boom resonates through the chamber as plaster falls from the wall and dust and dropped weapons fly out of the area.

Bonus: Healing aura on Vairar: 2D6 = [5, 4] = 9
Move: straight forward into the darkness to P34 (ideally)...can I ready action to blast when I bump into something? :)
Action: Thunderwave, using 3rd level slot, channel divinity for max damage (32 thunder) damage again (6th level feature FTW!) Con DC 14 for half damage, on fail pushed 10' back. The portal is hit too.
Covers O31-Q33 (if Vairar walked straight)
