Vairar stabs forward toward the approaching orc, his magical spear easily piercing feeble defenses of the common grunt. Fury of Aerdrie Faenya surrounds the soldier forcing him to stop or hope he can survive a thunder wall waiting for him to pass through. But the first strike is more than enough to kill the charging orc and the energy dissipates as Vairar steps through it and over the dead body, rushing to help against other orcs.

"Drop that damned darkness! I cannot heal who I cannot see! Talynen, rise, your lord needs you!"

In full charge the elf priest runs the orc threatening Angis fully through with the tip of the spear even going through the back plate of the armor.

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Talynen blinks his eyes open and spies the orc looming over him, but already falling from the eldritch blast.
Nodding at the priest, he gets up leaving his bow on the floor. shoots at the only visible orc in the room still standing

Drawing the rapier, he makes a quick flourish, deceptively harmless as the first swing is easily caught on the orcs weapon. Until the elf nimbly pivots the weapon and stabs the orc into the neck over the weapon and under the helm.

Move: get up
Re-read, ORc 9 is alive and in melee, so no short bow action
Move: retreat - I skimmed through the posts, I hope I got the right one
Attack vs Orc8; damage: 1D20+5 = [6]+5 = 11
1D6+3 = [1]+3 = 4
1D20+5 = [11]+5 = 16
1D6+3 = [5]+3 = 8

Rapier attack vs Orc9; damage: 1D20+4 = [3]+4 = 7
1D8+2 = [8]+2 = 10
1D20+4 = [16]+4 = 20
1D8+2 = [4]+2 = 6
1D20+4 = [16]+4 = 20
1D8+2 = [8]+2 = 10

hit for 6 and 10 - if 6 drops the orc 9, move up to 15' and attack if another orc is visible

Legend
Standing at the edge of the darkness bubble, Vairar thrust his pike through and caught an orc under its helmet. It fell to the ground. He woke Talynen, who finished off another orc, freeing Angis and Escella. The last of the orcs were obscured by the darkness bubble.

OOC: Okay, so Vairar dropped O8 and Talynen dropped O9.

OOC: Escella has gone, but if she shoots EB at an orc in the darkness, she has advantage. @jmucchiello you could just redo your turn if you like, or just roll the advantage, or I'll just use your previous against a new target.

Morning
Round 6

Angis watched the last orc around him go down and was starting to wipe the blood from his axes when Escella dropped the magical darkness.

“Nine ‘Ells!” Angis exclaimed, suddenly finding himself face to face with another orc. The dwarf was quicker on the uptake than the orc as he circled to the orc’s side so he could engage a second orc as well, and hacked into them both with his axes, killing the first orc with three blows, but missing the strike on the second orc.

Legend
Escella dropped the orc who had been pounding at the wall where the portal had been and stepped back, allowing the darkness bubble to dissipate. The room was dim, softly lit by some unseen magic. Angis hacked down an orc and pressed forward. The next orc turned on him, first blocking his axe swing, and second laying him out with a glancing blow that looked worse than it was, but dropped the dwarf to the ground, dazed and bleeding.

OOC: Angis killed O3, but took 5 from O2 (knocking him to 0); Escella killed O4. Leaves O1 (who hasn't gone yet) and O2 (who has). Vairar, Lionel, and Talynen have yet to go.
