D&D 5E (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Prickly Pear

Adventurer
Oh no! Lionel thought again as the big gnoll came rushing. He watched for a moment and thought that he had seen an opening that he could go for. However, fear started to force his way up Lionel's spine and he started to run. He stopped and turned to shot at the opening he saw before but the bolt went wide. Oh no... he thought again and started to feel small and frightened.

Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting check: 1D20+7 = [14]+7 = 21

Legend
The flind took Escella's blast in stride, staggering under the blow, but it continued after Lionel, overtaking the slower halfling. It twirled a three-headed flail over its head while snarling.

OOC: Flind takes 14 from Escella and dashes to catch Lionel, but doesn't have the action to attack (yet).

Legend
Lunn and Viarar held off the hyena-worg with their shields, while the half-orc hacked at the thing with his axe. Finally, Tommi slipped clockwise and timed his stone with Oh-Six, striking the thing in the throat. It gurgled, stepped away from the shield line, circled once, and fell dead on the ground.

OOC: Lunn does 4 & 6 (10) to the Worg, who chews on his shield, and then is killed by Tommi.

Dropping the crossbow at his feet unceremoniously, Helgrim raises his shield and warhammer in preparation for the approaching gnolls.

He curses as the flind moves away from him, and decides to deal with the two lesser creatures as quick as he can. As soon as they move within range, the old dwarf hits the already injured gnoll on the side with a loud crunch, then moves the warhammer to the leg of the second gnoll a bit clumsily, hoping to trip it.

OOC: Attack the injured gnoll:
1D20+7 = [14]+7 = 21
1D8+6 = [6]+6 = 12 damage

Extra Attack the other one, using Trip Attack maneuver (add SD to damage, target makes Str saving throw DC15 or fall prone):
1D20+7 = [8]+7 = 15
1D8+6 = [4]+6 = 10 damage
Superiority die: 1D8 = [5] = 5

Also, prepare Riposte maneuver as a reaction: If a creature misses me with a melee attack, I make a melee attack against it.

SD used: 1/5

Legend
Helgrim badly injured the first gnoll that reached him, and it weakly thrust its spear at him, glancing it off his shield. The other one tried to get at him from the other side, but got bashed in the knee for its efforts. The gnoll howled, but stayed standing on its injured leg.

OOC: Helgrim does 12 to Gn3 and 15 to Gn4; Both miss him. He'll probably murder Gn3 with a reposte. Hey, next time throw in a roll for the reposte in case it's needed. It'll be quicker PBP, I can just use it right away. Just waiting on @MetaVoid Vairar to roll the round!

Legend
As Vairar rushed toward the archer, the gnoll ran moved to the other side of the copse. Vairar was forced to shove his way through to head the archer off. Just as he was arriving, the archer put an arrow into his thigh. The elf stumbled, but arrived just the same, forcing the archer to throw down its bow and draw a hand-axe.

OOC: Archer got a shot off first and moved, so Vairar dashed. Gn1 got Vairar for 14! Ouch.
