D&D 5E (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Dandin winced at the sudden heat in his shoulder. He was glad for the save though, and the raised his rapier to his friend in passing before returning his attention to his assailant.

He needed to distract the fiend and hopefully keep him distracted until somebody could deal with him properly.

"What kind of wimpy swing was that? My cousin can use a blade better than you, and she's barely learned to walk!"

OOC: Viscious Mockery Wis save 13 or take [roll0] Psychic damage and suffer disadvantage on next attack roll.

Titus & Angis

Titus lunged forward as his winged cat once more bravely flew into the orc boss' face. The orc tried in vain to bat the cat away, but before he could land a blow, Titus stabbed him twice - once in the stomach and again in the chest. The orc fell back onto the ground, bleeding terribly.

Angis heroically hacked at the orc in front of him. The brute batted his much smaller axe to the side with a much larger weapon. Angis found his opening then, and hacked the orc in the shoulder. It grunted and spun to the side, suddenly elbowing the dwarf in the ribs and then it raised its large axe over its head and brought it down on him. Angis could well have been cut in half if he hadn't thrown himself to one side at the last moment. As it is, the axe left a large gouge from his right shoulder down to his floating ribs. The wound looked terrible, but nothing truly vital had been torn.

GM: If I don't start getting a few turns resolved at a time when I have a moment, I'm never going to keep up. I will get to everyone eventually!

Tommi, Snake & Dandin

Tommi hurled a stone at the orc that was attacking his friend Dandin, but it skipped harmlessly off of the brute's big axe. Snake conjured up a little ball of fire while slipping into a bush. He hurled it at the same orc, but the brute ducked as it went over his shoulder.

Dandin mocked the orc, and for a moment it looked confused. Then a look of annoyance crossed its face as it scrunched up its oversized brow and brought its axe down on the little halfling, who just managed to avoid being decapitated by raising his arm while ducking. His arm would have surely been severed just below the elbow had it not been for his little leather vambrace, which took the bulk of the blow. Still, his hand was numb and he couldn't feel his fingers.

Enseth, ORB1, & Drui

Enseth clanged his way up the steep rocky side of the dwarven road. His shield was struck by a javelin and yet on he came, until he arrived at the position of the orc hurler where he pummelled the brute into a bloody pulp as ORB1 harassed the orc, blocking its route of escape.

Drui stood in the back of Dandin's little cart and smacked the orc with his hammer. The orc grunted and swung his axe - a powerful blow that would have seriously wounded the dwarf had it not been for the protection of Tempus. The blade went wide and cut a notch out of the rail on the side of the cart.

GM: Yep. This is the way to do it. A few characters at a time.

Angis growled as he staggered under the blow from the orc. He said something vile and demeaning about the orc’s mother in Orcish and launched back at the humanoid with his axes.

Angis & Enseth

After insulting the orc, Angis proceded to hack it to death with his handaxe. As he Ducked down over the fallen body to pull out his axe, ORB1 flew over his head and slammed into the other orc as it tried to finish Dandin. The mechanical creature was followed by a bright searing light from Enseth's lamp, which burned the hair and flesh from that orc, who fell over screaming.
