Dandin watched the orc stumble and fall in it's rage. He was surprised for a moment, but then the battle recaptured his attention. The bridge was full of enemies now, he was tempted to cast his sleeping spell to see what happened. In fact, he decided that this might just be a good time for it. Raising the shawm to his lips, he played a magically infused lullaby, the tune carried across to the orcs and dogs racing up the ramp, lulling their minds to sleep. Then he moved up to stand next to Angus at the head of the bridge and recieve whichever of their foes hadn't fallen asleep. Along the way he flicked his wrist, converting the instrument into it's weaponized form.

Sleep Spell: 7d8 31

Vairar thought about holding the orc, but that still left the animal gnawing at his leg. And it may not work. But what he had in mind could bring the whole thing down on his head. On the other hand, he just may die with the sky above his head instead of this old crypt.

His eyes glowed in the dark, his normal dark brown taken over by electric blue. He raised the hammer, not like he plans to strike with it, just raised straight up. As the sparks played across the thing he smiled into the orcs face and said in orcish.
"Know your doom. STORMWRACK!"

Terrible boom echoes across the Nest as the debris flies out of the crypt in a great plume of dust followed by a dull thud of something that may have been the dog just seconds earlier.

Action: Thunderwave enhanced by Destructive Wrath - 16 damage to the orc and the dog, pushed back 15', CON DC 13 for half and no push.

NOTE: everything not nailed down in front of him flies back out of the crypt (I'm guessing most of the stones)

Move: follow the enemy if pushed.

Reaction: if hit
Wrath of the Storm lightning damage: 2D8 = [5, 1] = 6 - I'm rolling low...lets hope the orc fails his save.

Legend
Dandin's lullaby soothed the savage dogs, and they curled up on the path and went to sleep, much to the houndmaster's frustration. Then he and Escella moved to either side of Angis, and the three of them held a line at the top of the first ramp-bridge that led down into the depression.

In the crypt, Vairar summoned the fury of his god. The dog flew off his arm and was battered to death by lightning and loose stones as it tumbled down the tunnel. The orc held fast, though scorched and battered, and it swung an oversized axe at the elf. Vairar turned just enough to save his head, but he took a solid blow to his shoulder.

Outside the tunnel, the noise echoed across the Swan's Nest, and dirt and debris exited the tunnel. As the noise and vibration subsided, ORB5 flew into the tunnel and came upon the orc and elf as they battled. The little orb recorded the scene, and buzzed about the orc's head as a distraction.

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Houndmaster curses and kicks at one of the dogs that whines confusedly, but gets up. The big orc barks something at the other orc that kicks the other dog awake. This dog growls and snaps at the lesser orc while the hound master charges at the group awaiting him.

He charges toward Angis, raising his sword in two hands. But as he approaches, lithe female he disregarded as a threat stabs him painfully under the raised arm and his swing changes toward her, cutting deeply.

The dog follows his master, but at the narrow bridge has no options but to try and bring the dwarf down. In its frenzy, it slips at the essentially same spot where the warrior went down and nearly goes over itself. It rights itself out and growls at the dwarf.

The other one races behind and yelps as the first one fumbles. It gathers itself and in mighty leap sails over part of the chasm landing next to Dandin, but scrambles at the edge of the cliff (OOC: rolls 1 on the attack) before managing to find his footing.

The hound master yells at them something and both reflexively bite toward the nearest target. But between tumbles, near misses in jumping and unsteady footing in general, all snapping and growling amounts to little more than an impressive display of ferocity.

Hound master curses and berates the animals, but holds his place.

OOC:
Ester means Escella, I presume?
Yes indeed.
Also, any visual cue why a longsword does 2d10 damage?
Mechanically, it's a special ability called "Foe Smiter: The orc deals an extra die of damage when it hits with a longsword attack." to make him hit the expected damage of his CR. (That, and he's using the sword two-handed.) Story-wise, I'll give you a description when I resolve the rest of the round.

Speaking of which, just @KahlessNestor Angis & @Kobold Stew Tommi (and a few orcs) to go!
