Tommi turns with a shurg and a smile to his companions.

"Anyone want to give me a boost?" he asks, indicating the opening in the story above.

"Hop on!" Lunn grumbles setting his knee as first step and the shield at shoulder height next. Once Tommi is on the shield Lunn gets up to hus g full height

Tommi was easily boosted up by Lunn, slender as he was. He climbed into the hole left by the collapsed walkway and moved into a lounge, similar but smaller than the one in the other building. Its walls were adorned with faded tapestries, some of which now hung at odd angles. The once-rich rug on the floor was stained by mold (and worse). The gnolls had left doors open when they'd charged toward the walkway, and Tommi could see into what had once been small guest rooms (small for a manor house - all the rooms were far bigger than Tommi's had been growing up at his mother's house).

Gnolls had been living in them, and the smell was terrible.

Tommi's got some rope in his backpack (and an old lute given to him once as a child by one of his mom's callers; why does he still carry this thing with him?), and he pulls it out and quickly attaches it to make it easier for others to climb.

If there's no obvious or easy way, he can offer to just go downstairs and unbolt the door...

"I'm not the best climber, but I'll give it a go."

Morgan grabs the rope and starts climbing.

Weirdly, I didn't realize this thread was moving. Please just DM me if I'm not responding to the thread. I've been checking the site for the last two days but it wasn't until I searched for the thread that I noticed all the new posts. Maybe because I was gone on the weekend...?

Tommi dropped a rope to the others and Morgan climbed up. He hadn't been in (nor even seen) the northern building during his confinement at the lodge. Oh-six buzzed over his head and began to look around. The curious orb shone a light that brightened the gloom in the corners of the room. The main part was lit by daylight that came through a large hole in the roof, not far from a winding staircase that led down toward the ground floor.

Escella was right. The rest of the group made their way up the rope and spread out, checking the whole of the upper floor for trouble, clues, and treasure. The only thing that stood out as unusual was that the chambers were all soiled by gnolls, but one room - a bathroom with a copper tub, was immaculately clean, had a patched roof, scented candles, soap and a jar of reasonably expensive perfume.

Tommi is looking specifically to identify where the War Leader and the Shaman were staying -- if their quarters are not obviously on this floor, he'll keep an eye out on lower floors.

"This place is a mess," he says. "Anyone need to wash up?"

Lunn remains near the center of the building, ready to lend support to whichever side activates first.
"The leaders probably had their separate rooms. Check those rooms with single beds. Or maybe they are in a separate building altogether."
