[IC] SWS/DnD5, Star Wars the Old Republic – A Gathering Darkness

Cass shrugs and says "Yea I doubt they are going to listen to me. We've only been on planet for two days and were just hired to clear out the beasts from this valley. Maybe make sure there were not any down by the starport Footfall."

Glancing at this Gand "An't mine, Targo's the owner its up to him..." Cass says pointing at the nikto that Jihahnas had shot unconscious but whom Cal had patched up and who was driving the speederbike. He looks down at this Gand and says in a low, graveling voice "Mine... but I drive if ye wants to go somewhere..."

Also, this Gand and Cal both are sure that there are a pair of Kwi hiding out in the trees watching the group.

Jihahna makes a small adjustment to her mechanical arm as she thinks... "Hmm, well i'm guessing that maybe two of us at most could go up in the sidecar if we want to go at full speed. Who wants to go ahead? I'll probably stay with Thirteen."

The gand gestures to Targo and Cass. "Gratitude," says the female voice. She stands, gripping the side of the sidecar so it can help pull any who wants to jump aboard.

<Once everybody's aboard that wants to board:
stuttering-thrill, WHIRR "Full throttle please, honored Targo."

They *rip* out of there, kicking up dust and mist.

The gand adjusts her vocoder volume and 'shouts' back towards the landspeeder: click mumble cruck claketty "Get help from the Kwi?"

OOC: We can probably fit one more in the sidecar and one behind the driver, Targo willing. Making trail towards the mining camp, please GK!

GM: Cass would volunteer to stay behind (he says in a low voice he will talk with the Kwi) so I think the other four could cram onto the speederbike if you wanted... but I want to be sure with what the rest of the team wants to do

Targo grunts an says "Sures, I thinks I can gets most of yous on if thats yous wants."

The ground trembles again but the shaking is not as violent as before. Cass Everburn looks at the team and says "We are only 2 klicks from the mining camp. We can walk there if you want to use your landspeeder. Probably be faster then all piling onto the speederbike..."

The gand looks to the others, then at the mining camp... and then back: guttural clacketty click "This one will scout ahead?" It taps the tiny, reinforced screen on her wristcomm.

<Unless there are objections:
She settles back into the car, energy in her moves: stuttering-thrill, WHIRR "Full throttle please, honored Targo."

Jihahna nods at the Gand. "Okay then. You take it easy Gand. Don't engage if it's too big and nasty. Just relay as much info as you can." She nods at Cass as well. "Sure. In the meantime i'm just going to check over the speeder quickly. You guys take it easy"

Targo smiles (not easy for the alien's face) and he and this Gand take off towards the mining camp... the merc links this Gand's comlink with the miners. Cass quickly organizes the remaining mercenaries and they head out of the forest walking towards the camp.

The speederbike quickly makes it to the mining camp and this Gand can see that smoke is poring from one of the outlying pre-fab building structures. It appears to a storage facility but this Gand is not certain. There is also a lot of chatter over the comlinks, as miners talking about the earthquake and someone suggesting that someone has set of some explosives. No one had authorized the use of explosives right now as the miners where extracting the thorilide that had been exposed earlier. This Gand also hears some strange chatter from some of the miners that they were being attacked in the dark, but it was very confusing.

Targo looks down at this Gand and shouts (over the wind rushing by as the bike is moving pretty fast) "Where you want to go? I have a beacon leading up the main mining camp or we stop here?"

As this is happening Cal points and the two Kwi emerge from the underbrush. After a quick set of hoots and howls, Thirteen translates "They are very concerned that something bad has happened - 'The mountains tremble at the awakening of either the Guardian or the Demons! You most make them stop! If they do not we will all die!'"

"Tell them we're going to the miners right now, to do exactly that," Kacela says.

"Probably best not to tell them we may already be too late. It's hard to predict how they'd react, and we can't afford distractions at the moment."
