D&D 5E (IC) Vault of the Dracolich (Dispensables)

Sesto sighed with relief. He managed to get away from that nasty flail. It did hit hard and Sesto thought that he wouldn't be able to take another hit. Sesto felt sorry for Drako who had to deal with the flail instead. With horror, Sesto noticed that Terrus went down after being severely bitten by small bone dragons. Sesto considered calling for some healing power from his god but stops in his tracks. Those nasty bone dragons would just take him down again. Hey! We need to take Silakul down. We can worry about the golem later! Sesto shouted to his friends.
After shouting those words Sesto moved closer to the golem to get him into the range of the guarding angels. Sesto carefully stayed outside the range of the bone dragons. Sesto thought that now was the time to attack Silikul and he called forth Lathander's light from his fist.

OOC: Move: E7 or there about. Get golem in range of SG but outside Silikul's SG and SW range.

OOC: Uh... just so you know, Flaming Sphere's movement stops when you roll it at someone and it will deal it's damage to anyone who ends his turn next to it. So if you roll it at Silakul, you're going to get either Bob or Terrus with it. (Unless Bob disengages, which doesn't sound like him.)

OOC: Ho ok forget it then. I always imagined that the sphere was on a creature and only damage this creature. (3.5 reminiscences I suppose ). It can do this damages to the golem though.

OOC: So, I suppose you have to change every Silakul mentions into Flesh Golem and take the Firebolt line or I can edit my post if it's too messy.

Everything erupts into chaos as Bob bashes Silakul brains on to the wall behind him. The skeletal dragons disappear and the Flesh Golem moans a mournful sound. It swings it's meaty fists at Bob, pounding him a few times as it's back erupts into fire. Lorenn's rolling sphere is followed up by the half-elf's booming blade, and Sesto's Angels slash away at the creature.

As Terrus falters, Pyrus, fearing for his brother's life, sends enough psychic fire into the Golem to burn it utterly, leaving only a pile of scorched meat smouldering on the ground. Just before they finish Terrus off, though, the skeletal dragons disappear into wisps of smoke, and Terrus recovers quickly.

We should probably keep moving, says Torbin, But which way?

GM: It occurs to me that if Silakul goes down on Bob's Init, then Terrus is saved as well. If the Wall is concentration, he'll still lose it (if we use the roll from his save for a concentration one, otherwise the wall is still up. Between Pyrus, Sesto, and Lorenn, that will take out the Golem too, even if I made all it's saves. You've got a bit of time (not much) before the Mercs get a Cultist to open the door...

[sblock=Rolls]
Golem Slam vs Bob: 2D20.HIGH(1)+7 = [4, 19]+7 = 26
2D8+4 = [3, 6]+4 = 13

2D8+4 = [2, 6]+4 = 12

Damage Taken (In the End)
PCs Bob 30+13(6)+12(6)=42, Drako 21, Lorenn 7, Pyrus 17, Sesto 24, Terrus 39, Torbin 8

Ducking by reflex when Pyrus unleashed hell:
"Watchout with those fire burst, I lost my eyebrows. We really need a warning code. "

Checking his comrades:

"3 potions over here if someone is in the need.
About our next step, if my orientation is correct, up from here, there is a big pile of gold. I hope the dracolich isn't laying on it anymore though.

Do we loose time for some search here? It seems to be Silakul's room, can be interesting. "

As things settle down, Udit's voice comes through the sending stone. He speaks of how the River Gang killed the Dracolich, or at least a phony version of it.

Does that mean it's safe to go the way Eko scouted? asks Torbin, If we have to, we could escape to the Hydra lair off of that ledge. Which way is that from here, anyway?

OOC: Lorenn knows that it is through the door to the north, which would be the one that had two guards near the ledge he speaks of. Meanwhile, Sesto spots the large chest in the corner of the room, next to the bed.
