Yahoo Auctions has a "Report Abuse or Terms of Service Violations" link with each auction. Even so nice as to keep a ticker of how many have reported it. :)
I think we now know why eBay is more popular than Yahoo Auctions.

You can add notifications to let you know when this seller lists more items. I did it for the yahoo listing. We shall see how he acts in the future.

What other auction sites might have this individual doing business on? I don't frequent them, but I know several others exist. Someone who knows more of them should check for this guy.

I'm trying to reverse engineer it by seeing if I can find the people he "bought" the PDFs from. Found one guy who seems to run a used book store, but he seems to be otherwise legit.

Not surprising. He is also selling a number of legit hardcopy books (right now mostly Star Wars novels, I think).

By the way, Yahoo auctions are now closed by the seller as well.

[font=arial, geneva]I sent him an email to let him know that various companies and the FBI have been notified.

His Response:
Thank you. If you bothered to find out you would have noticed that I stopped my auctions after being notified by the publishers. It was a mistake that was corrected out of respect only for those nice about the whole thing and not for the Hostile attackers that came at me without knowing the facts of the situation. My part in this is over. So Good luck with the FBI thing. Hope the time you have been or will be wasting on this now is worth it.

You should write him and tell him that the crime has already been commited, he's the one with the luck. And whereas the publishers might accept his neglegence as an escuse, Neglegence is not a defense in the eyes of the law.
