Invasion of Mori - IC [3.5][CE/NE][planar]

"A bold plan, lords," says Roillard after appearing to weigh it in his mind. "Shall I accompany you, or oversee the defenses here?"

The veiled lieutenant chimes in, "I would happily offer whatever small assistance I may." Her Common has something of an accent to it, and in this tongue, her speech is clearly feminine.

Silhouette nods and says, "I think our best bet would be to use the map to approach to the point where we can scry their camp magically and find a weak point. Then we can teleport in en masse, take them by surprise, and ideally gut any chance of resistance they have. Then it will be essentially us versus the worm...which is still dangerous, but as good a scenario as we can hope to get."

Thinking aloud, Kelteror says to all assembled: "We should take out the worm first. The other Kobolts are only a distraction. "

He then nods at Roillard, thanking him for the healing.

Telepathically, Kelteror says to his companions from the Abyss: " If only we could convince the worm to join the invasion. That creature can definitely fight, and I'd rather have it kill archons then our brethen. Just think of the powerful ally our cause would have? If the worm only wants revenge from this mortal (pointing at Roillard), maybe we can strike a deal?

Telepathically replying to Kelteror, Silhouette muses, An interesting proposal, but the worm that walks may be too much for us to control at this point. It requires more power to ensure loyalty than it does to merely destroy...especially a being of such obvious potence.

Verbally she addresses the veiled one and Roillard. "It's probably best that you stay and see to recovering from this...incident," she says to the cult leader. "When we're done with the kobolds, we'll want to see about increasing the security here. As for you..." she nods at the veiled one, "...what skills and abilities do you bring?"

While waiting for Silhouette's question to be answered, Rose quickly goes through his things, making sure all is in order to depart. Those nearby can here him mumble about "blasted poison" and "worthless healers." The tiefling is despondent.

Abruptly Silhouette snatches a wand from her belt and stalks over to Rose, jabbing him unceremoniously with it. The tip glows star-white...and some of the poison's weakness leaves him!

(lesser restoration from wand...I'll let the GM roll it)

The veiled figure stands at attention, reverting to Abyssal. "If it pleases, lords, I am more of a diplomat. However, I can hold my own in a fight. If your enemies are many, I can engage some, leaving you to concentrate on the main enemy."

OOC: Lesser Restoration - 3 points of con damage restored.

Rose leers at Silhouette as she jabs him with the wand. "Thanks," the tiefling says. His voice carries the leer with it, and his lack of social grace makes the entire thing very near disgusting.

Though the veiled figure's nondescript answer is not terribly helpful, the ghouls surrounding it choose this moment to pivot, in unison, towards the troll. The figure extends a calming hand, and they remain in their positions.

"Probably attracted by the smell of kobold meat," it explains apologetically in common.

As the ghouls spin towards him, the troll's claws flex out reflexively before his face even registers their movement. When his head does come around Snargle picks another scrap of stringy kobold meat out of his snaggly teeth and flicks it onto the floor in front of the ghouls. He sniffs towards them then wrinkles his nose as their meat smells bad and not worth eating.
