Back in the Lair of Shadows, Roillard provides the necessary information.

Out in the flat lands, Silhouette moves off to scout while the group orients itself. Maps indicate that the camp is in the direction of the greenery.

OOC I believe that will take a little while, so I'll let others act while she's gone. ;)

"Don't take long," Rose fiercely whispers to Silhouette as she leaves. The tiefling first checks to make sure he has everything, yet again, and then begins some impressive-looking stretches and exercises to limber up while he waits.

As the more educated members of the party survey the flat, arid expanses, something about them calls to mind an odd piece of obscure lore.

OOC: Gabriel and anyone with more than 14 ranks in Knowledge (religion) recalls hearing about an odd power manifested in a few rare, fallen druids that can strip the land of life and vegetation.

Weighing the the risks against the possibility of betrayal, Kaelvorr speaks, forcing the words through the throat of his possessed minion. "Stay here a moment. I will scout ahead, though this one will remain here."

Kaelvorr slides from the kaorti the it rode in with and sinks into the ground while ethereally ghosting forward. With little more than its eyes above the ground the fiend proceeds toward the area Roillard pointed out on the map.

Kaelvorr and Shayuri find a series of crudely disgused cave entrances. Some are little better than holes in the earth with shrubs deliberately planted near them to make them harder to see from a distance. A few guards hide in the undergrowth, their abilities at concealment laughably inept compared to the skills of the fiends.

Several minutes of observation turn up five guards. None of them show any signs of having noticed the fiends.

Drax waits somewhat more patiently for the results of the scouting mission. When the others return, he offers., "The sentinals sond to be no more than living alarms is all. But, are they there merely to tempt us to use teleportaion magic to get by or not?"

"Here's what I suggest," Silhouette says. "I'll cast a zone of silence around us, and we'll fall on them quickly and hard. As long as we're careful, the sounds of the battle will not escape to warn anyone else."

"Then we'll simply proceed into the warrens, watching out for traps, destroying any resistance we come to."

"Acceptable?"
