The assault is brutal, and the five hapless kobolds are cut down before they can offer any resistance. Snargle charges into their midst, his ferocious war-cry reaching just far enough to instil fear in the guards in their last mortal moments. With a mighty swipe, he knocks a kobold's head clean off its shoulders. As the others reach for their weapons, Kelteror's massive guisarme bisects two adjacent guards, sending their still-kicking legs into the air even as their torsos fall face-first into the ground.

The remaining two enemies' jaws are still dropping when Rose and Drax cut them down from behind.

"It was never the Kobolds themselves that we were worried about, I believe," Vedak says from behind as he waits to cast his spells for when he might actually need to use them.

"Not these kobolds anyway," Silhouette agrees, still invisible.

"Lets continue. Which of us has skills in finding and disarming traps? Kobolds are well known for their love of such things."

"Hmm, nice warm-up. Now lets get down to business" Kelteror says telepathically.

OCC: He'll search and disable (if he feels he's able to) any traps he sees. Search: +28, Disable device +15.

Crunching and munching on the remains of a kobold guard Snargle nods and proceeds with the party. He continues to snack as his eyes flit around looking for new foes to rend.

After a few minutes of searching and effort, Kelteror manages to identify a tactically placed glyph of warding near the entrance. It doesn't seem to be within his means to allow the group to bypass it without setting it off. He can try to dispel it from a safe distance, but he knows that it might have any of a variety of spells attached to it, and failure might mean activation.

OOC: Whether he explains this to the group is, naturally, up to him. ;)

"It appears that the vermin are sharper than we give them credit for" Kelteror, says as he points the glyph to all. "Unless one can dispell powerful spells, I will try to disable the rune. please stand back"

Kelteror will wait for a volunteer. If not, he'll stand as far back from the glyph as his innate dispel magic ability will allow and cast it.
