At the mouth of the tunnel, Silhouette and the emissary manage to characterize the strange substance as being essentially identical to lamp oil.

Zaestilan moves thru the stone until he is directly underneath the six robed creatures, while he's still within the stone Zaestilan's clicks his fingers and summons his huge sized longsword.

Positioning himself behind the hooded creature which is furthest away from the oily tunnel, Zaestilan reaches out of the stone with his sword in hand and then grabs his weapon with his innate powers of telekinesis.

With a familial ease Zaestilan wields his sword and urges it to attack, all the while watching the affair from the safe confines of the stone floor.

Zaestilan's sword becomes solid, floating silently into position behind the furthest kobold while Kaelvorr speeds back toward the group. With a sudden blur of motion, the blade strikes several times, dropping the kobold limp to the floor.

She then produces a scroll from her belt, and peers into the tunnel, ready to cast a spell if there are signs of combustion.

(moving Scroll of Fly to hand, and readying action to cast Swift Etherealness if there be fire coming)

As the others charge in, Kaelvorr calls back to his remaining minion, "Stay outside the oil-soaked area!"

Kaelvorr, itself continues on, ethereally, towards its target.
