Invasion of Mori - IC [3.5][CE/NE][planar]

Gargoyle

He had a feeling this task was going to be different than the rest and as he stepped through the portal he could only think of one thing. I Hate caverns! He hated caverns even more when they are crowed with other life forms. To make matters even worse, when the Babau revealed the stair case leading down, he knew that he was not going to feel the wind beneath him for some time. A large Greatsword is strapped loosely to his back between his massive wings while a equally large shield hands from his for arm. As the others talk and make their way towards the stair case, he says nothing as his large black and green marble-esk form lumbers at a distance behind them.

The very red-skinned Rose looks at Gabriel. He smiles mischievously, showing teeth and a mouth full of blood. "I'd be glad to serve, Lord," he sneers with dripping sarcasm. "But maybe I should be stitched up a bit first."
[sblock=OOC]Rose is down more than half his HPs, and still has a CON damage.[/sblock]

The diplomat runs an eye over the new arrivals. "I see that the forces of the Abyss are many and varied, as ever." Her glance sharpens when she looks at the robed cultist. "You there! If you can teleport, why were we not brought here directly?"

"Th-thousand pardons, mistress!" The cultist, a brown-haired human girl in her teens, flinches visibly and seems to shrink deeper into her robe. "Before the mages that maintained the seal were slain, teleportation here was not possible. Our master said you were briefed . . . "

"Hmph." Turning her attention from the cultist, she walks off towards the newly revealed stairs. "Rise and attend me," she says to the last kobold, absent-mindedly, not bothering to break pace as it stands and scrambles to follow her.

Approaching Gabriel, she salutes him. "If you require armies of the dead, perhaps we should talk later. I may be able to offer some assistance. As for now . . . have you a strategy in mind for approaching this chamber, my lord?"

Rose is down more than half his HPs, and still has a CON damage.

Aldred walks over to Rose, and after a moment examining his wounds spends a few moments patching up the worst of his wounds.

OOC:
Cast Lesser Restoration to restore the Con damage.
Expend three charges from the Healing Belt to restore 2d8=11, 2d8=7, 2d8=6 24hp.

Rose watches the skeleton as it patches the tiefling's wounds. The dervish is still quite wounded, but looks better.

"That better do. But if things get hot, don't expect me to kill myself for lack of healing."

With that, Rose nods at Gabriel, who he sees as the de facto leader, and follows the instructions, signaling to Snargle to join Rose at the lead.

"Lovely Boneweaver, Rose almost now looks as pretty as his namesake," Gabriel says with a smile at the skeletal priest. "Now, let someone take a quick scratch around for traps and let us proceed. Rose and Snargle ahead, then myself, then you other fine folks with your formidable presences," he says with a nod to Silhouette, Aldred, and the others. "Kelteror and the gargoyle can watch for attacks from above or the rear."

[sblock=OOC: Everyone]While Gabriel is an arrogant son-of-a-devil dog, Isida Kep'Tukari isn't adverse to advice or suggestions from party members. Anyone else have ideas?[/sblock]

Gargoyle

He simply nods his and moves to the back of the group as his newly assigned colleagues make their way down the stair case. If at anytime possible he will fly high above the cavern floor/staircase to provide cover and an extra pair of eyes.

This is a small, cramped cavern used to house kobolds. The stairway is larger than the earlier cave entrance, but flying high above the ground is out of the question.

Behind the party, the caves that the kobolds have chosen for their lair are narrow and cramped, but in this more spacious area, the smoke collects above. A prime feature of the defenses seems to have been the flaming pool of oil.

Snargle moves over to the new stairway, the claws on the ends of his overly long arms flexing in anticipation of more flesh to rend. At the stairway he pauses and his long green nose twitches as he sniffs for any new scents. His red eyes glow as they pierce the darkness.

ooc scent, darkvision.

Aldred, Cleric, 118/118hp

Taking a position towards the middle of the party with his wraiths, Aldred follows the others down the tunnel.

OOC: Would y'all mind putting your character name & status in the title of your posts like I've done so I know who needs how much healing. It'll make it much easier for me to keep you all standing that way. Thanks. :)
