As you move quickly and quietly around the back of the houses you see the back of the blacksmith’s building. There is a small amount of smoke coming from the fire that is slowly spreading on the wet thatch roof. You can hear several goblinoid voices talking.

Lal says a low voice - he knows a whisper can carry - "These creatures seem rather martial - they would loot the smithy for metals, might even enslave him as a skilled laborer... this may be an important objective for them, there will be many there... should we take the woods?"

Flint nods at first, but then replies to Lal, "Someone better check it out first before we move on. See if there's rescuing to be done."

The dwarf is obviously not going to, himself, because he knows he is not very stealthy.

GM:
You are looking at the back of the building and there are no doors or windows on this side. For those that speak Goblin, there is talk of "letting them burn," and "pile the carcasses"

Corsa nods to Flint and looks about to sneak off, but then stops. She turns back and takes her pack off, pulling out a sack and handing it carefully to the dwarf. "The stump remover. In case I get caught." She shoulders her pack again and heads off quietly.

OOC: Heading around the building looking for a way in. Can we tell if the voices are coming from inside the building, or outside somewhere?

Stealth: 1D20+4 = [13]+4 = 17

As you round the corner of the building you see two bugbears pulling a large cart with the carcasses of several horses and pigs. The cart is around 30 feet away from the building and is moving away, towards the market green. On both sides of the cart is a hobgoblin soldier.

The building is an L-shaped building some 60 feet long. There are very few windows, only three windows each around 6 inches wide and two feet tall. There is only one door and it is barred and barricaded from the outside.

To the right of the doors around a 5’ by 10’ section of the roof is on fire, the damp thatch giving off a thick grey smoke. Approximately 20 feet from the door is a trough filled with water. You can hear human voices calling out from inside the building.

GM:
The walls are 15' and the roof peaks at 20'. The door is has five boards nailed across it and then has a cart with rocks fence post and the like piled on it. Weight of all the objects on chart 600lbs.
