Harb also helps his two allies onto the rooftop before taking a defensive position at the back of the building. He looks to the bridge trying to plan their escape route when done here.

Vin uses a boost from Corsa and climbs on to the roof and starts hacking away at the thatch. A heavy smoke starts to exit through the less dense parts of the thatch.

Lal quickly joins Vin and his great axe cleaves through the thatch as smoke billows out.

Corsa runs to one of the small windows and lets the people know what the plan is

Loosh takes the civilians with him to a safer hiding place, where Raux joins him. Flint takes cover as well. As Harb takes a defensive position.

The fire spreads slightly now covering a 10’ by 10’ section of the roof and is 20’ away from Lal and Vin

GM: Did some rolls to kill the thatch. Vin attacking thatch: 1D20+6 = [19]+6 = 25 Vin damage to thatch: 1D6+4 = [3]+4 = 7 Lal attack on thatch: 1D20+5 = [20]+5 = 25

Corsa runs to the trough and fills a bucket with water, then hurries back and hands it up to Vin.

OOC: She'll keep repeating this while Lal lowers his rope and helps people out. Did the survivors show up in the back room? Any indication of their numbers or them trying to make their way up to the hole?

GM: At the moment Vin and Lal can notice they have moved to that area, but they can not tell their numbers through the smoke.

"Thanks," Vin says as he grunts and throws the bucket of water over the flames. "Lal can you lower the people down while Corsa and I keep the fire at bay?"

Looking into the smoke, "Women and children first, hurry people!"

Once the civilians are hidden, Loosh will join the bucket brigade. We might not be able to stop it, but we might be able to hold it back while we get people out. Loosh suggests dumping water on the parts of the roof not yet on fire, to slow the expansion.

Lal begins using his strong arms and rope to get the people out of there as soon as possible

Harb slings his shield over his back and helps with the buckets looking around nervously between buckets.

At the first sign of someone else on the roof he will start helping them down off the wall.

Two humans and then a dwarf climb up the rope and take Lal’s hand. The dwarf an ill-tempered looking female with silver hair looks at the man sternly. “Well what are we still doing here; we should be heading to the bridge right now, before those beasts bring more reinforcements, that’s what they were talking about when they locked us in.”

The dwarf climbed to the ground and looked up at the four still on the roof, “Well, let’s go.”

GM: The three civilians in the blacksmiths bring with them 8 provision points.

Lal assisted the others down the room then scampered down himself.

"Yes, let's go - time for introductions later" as he worriedly scanned the area - they had been incredibly lucky so far, but could they pull off their get away?
