The group is close to the location of the Chernasardo Ranger redoubt that Aubrin had mentioned.

The forest grows thick here, trees pressed close together with their branches intertwined. A gloom hangs in the air. Foliage around the base of the trees is sparse, stunted by lack of sunlight. The songs of birds and noises of small animals have ceased, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the ancient woods.

GM:
Moving this forward a little, everyone has had the benefit of a short rest.
Late in the afternoon Day 4, Week 1

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

Harb laughs at Vins comment. Fallowing along with the group, scanning the surrounding area. Fully expecting that he won't be able to spot one of these Rangers in their own area, this close to their base, but looking helps calm him while he waits for the inevitable group that will pop out of the bushes with arrows trained on them.

No point in being quiet, this will go quicker if they find us.

The group burst out of the forest and into an eerie gully that contains a number of standing pools and dead trees, all swarming with insects. The redoubt is a large tree house built above the depressing terrain, protected from most predators by the muddy water below.

At first look there is no signs of the Rangers, and no signs of any other type of life.

GM:

You have a bit of forest to your right with a trail that leads to a rough looking bridge that crosses to the island with the redoubt on it.

You are 375 feet from the bridge. To your left is a small pond that connects to the water that surrounds the island. You are 15 feet from the water.

Lal says in a harsh whisper "We probably should announce ourselves... although are we sure this is the right place? It's rather dismal..."
