D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

Lal had no idea what a druid was - some kind of nature holy man - ah, holy woman. Don't get that wrong they hate it in every land, kingdom and city he ever visited.

The short, outrageously dressed foreigner stomped forward. "I am Lal Qualandar. I would name my companions but my accent do not do their names justice - although that one is Harb, he's pretty nice. The hobbed and unhobbed goblin situation is dire. They used a magical tower to attack the town of Phaendar and sacked it. We did a fighting retreated and managed to save some of the good villagers, although I must admit that many more perished.

As far as assistance for bee stings, I am sure my companions would be delighted."

He finished his little speech with a beatific smile... but then remembered the terrible events he had just detailed and switched abruptly to a somber, almost mournful look.

"A druid?"

Flint raises one eyebrow as he inspects the woman. Apparently she does not look like the dwarf expected a druid to look.

"But you are not part wolf! Are you?"

Realizing he is being rude, Flint continues, "Apologies. I am Flint Stronginthearm, and I want to thank you for helping us with the bee problem."

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

Once the bees are gone Harb snuffs out his torch. and watches the interactions between his companions and the woman who came out of the woods. When Lal introduces him he smiles.

"Hello" and he gives a small bow as a formal greeting, "Who is it that you worship if you don't mind my asking? I am a servant of Sarenrae."

Harb is cautious around new people to begin with and given his history he has heard good and horrific stories about Druids.

Insight [roll1]
Harb is using how she answers thw question and who she worships as an initial gauge of this new stranger

Vin smiles at the druid, "My name is Vin, like the rest of these unfortunates; I am trying to survive the day."

He gives her a look up and down as he starts to load up some apples as well. "How well do you know this area? We are looking for a cave system or something along those lines to house refugees."

To Harb: "I do not worship anything that 'who' can contain. I worship nature in all its terrible power and glory, unconfined to human-friendly forms."

To Flint: "I'm only part wolf if you get on my bad side."

To Vin: "This isn't my usual haunt in the forest, so specifics like that are beyond me. I was actually seeking out the rangers that frequent these woods, they would know if anyone did."

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

Content with her answers... even if her answer about being part wolf made him a little uncomfortable, Harb relaxes.

"There is safety in numbers and we are also looking for these Rangers, we should walk together."
