D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

Vin moves around looking for anything that may be of use. He casts a spell of detection as he moves about to see if anything of a magical nature was left behind by the legion.

After a while of searching he says, "I'll send Fluffy up to have a look around and see what I can find."

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

Harb's sleep is pretty restless. He tosses and turns most of the night.

As the sun rises he prays as usual, today including the departed villagers. With a heavy heart he starts preparing a grave for the bodies found.

“Oh yes, I will come with you,” said Renalt with a smile, “I’m in no condition to roam the woods by myself at the moment."

GM:
There is not much of use in the camp, Vin notices some tracks, probably Hobgoblin, and Corsa finds some animal hairs.
Fluffy does not notice much through the trees but he does see that Scarvinious and his hunters have left their camp.

"The hunters have left their camp, I can't make out where they are because of the trees though." Vin offers after his body gets it eyes back.

Lal eye's narrow. "That is... not great. They may be nearby. We should get moving... and cover those tracks!"

OOC: Where there "enough" bodies? Or can we deduce that a number of people were captured or escaped?

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

"Do we know how many they are? Perhaps now is a good time to set a diversion and a trap. 'Make a mistake', too much smoke from a camp fire leading them to a trapped location. Renalt, you no doubt trap animals, just make the trap bigger. They aren't going to stop looking. This" Harb motions to the ruined town. "prooves that. Maybe a way to buy us time is to cut their numbers enough that they need to go back and get more men?"

Frustration and anger are clear in Harbs voice. His face betrays that he is having a hard time with this. With a sigh he continues. "I know that Sarenrae would frown on my unwillingness to forgive. But those that made the commands to do this... THIS is something I cannot forgive."
