Since I can't believe that there isn't already a poll like this now that we have the rules, is 4E still D&D to you?
To me, no. It's a lot of little reasons rather then any big ones. I've read a lot of the rules and it's just too big of a change. It's not like the previous editions (I started with Homes Basic in 1980) where I already understood how things worked and just had to grasp the changes. A lot of things are fundamentally different. Don't get me wrong - it looks like a fun game, but to me it's not D&D.
And unfortunately between a new baby and my company, I don't have time to learn a new heavy ruleset. Since I expect 3E to fade into a fringe game system, just like all of the other previous editions, I sadly think I may have played my last game of D&D.
(Now let's see if I can remember how to do a poll ... )
