Oh I desperately want to run weird wizard, waiting on jp coovert's dragon town box set to arrive before I try setting something up at a FLGS for it.

I have some reservations about some of the changes between it and SotDL (and am faintly annoyed about one thing missing from SotWW) but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Got to play it with Schwalb dming at a con (demon lord too!) and that's one of my favorite memories of the last few years. I love pretty much all the changes, but I also love demon lord on its own merits so I'd love to hear what you preferred in it. As for what's missing... orcs?

For the vast majority of my games, I'm switching to Level Up, since I like its additions to the 5e chassis better than the other options (expertise die, manoeuvres, strongholds, class rework with more exploration features etc.), and it's largely compatible with O5E (where I like almost everything pre-Tasha). Also, since it's still 5e, the majority of players around me can still be convinced to play it.

But in the background I'm working on my own OSE hack that brings a lot of 5e-like features to the B/X chassis (+ AD&D/Companion ideas to extend the rules to Level 20), and I'm hoping that once I finalise those rules, that will be my forever system. A D&D retroclone where I can port decades of old modules and rules options, updated with some 5e-isms.

I’ve recently started a Shadowdark Halls of Arden Vul campaign. We’ll likely stick with the content for a while. There is a chance we have a system change should we have a tpk. If that happens I might give A5e a spin. I’m curious to see what the Arden Vul experience is like across different systems.

After that it will be a genre and system change. Likely Achtung! Cthulhu or something sci-fi. Either option using Savage Worlds.

Beyond looking for a 4th player those are pretty much my only gaming plans for the year.

The best thing of the DADHAT movie was that track from Tame Impala.

On 5.24E, im in a similar spot as I was in 2014 with 5E. Im in the middle of other long running games so its something im keeping an eye on, but wont be jumping into immediately. I likely will, at some point, give it a go, but I cant say when or rule out never.
Same. I am interested in seeing if the 2024 books fix some of the things I was dissatisfied with in the 2014 books that frankly only got worse as they released more rule expansion books. But for now, we're 4 sessions into a PF2e AP that will probably take us at least the next year to run so who knows what we're going to want to play in a year. I will probably buy the inevitable slipcase set of the 2024 core books whenever that comes out to see what I think and go from there. Generally the group I play with is up for whatever I am willing to run, so at least there isn't any pressure on me to run it so far.

Fascinating survey that seems to seriously buck the trend that folks on this site mainly play 5e.

Struggling to get my head round that as the topic of conversations seems to suggest otherwise.
Well keep in mind this the TTRPG General forum. Probably different results on the actual D&D forum. That said, if you add up all the variants, other editions and retroclones, it’s actually D&D Family 68, non-D&D 55.
