Is all damage doubled/tripled with a charging lance?

First Post
If you are on a mount and have the spirited charge feat and you charge with a lance, is all the damage tripled or just the damage from the weapon itself?

If I had the Spellsword PrC and put "Inflict Light Wounds" on my lance and charge with it, does the ILW damage get tripled too?

Huh?

Can I get a serious answer, I need to get back to my DM on this ASAP. Maybe I'll check out the WotC boards, their members seem to be more polite and knowledgeable.

LOL Relax. It was just a joke. :)

Stalker0 has it right. Your enhancement bonus, strength bonus, luck bonus, Weapon Specialization, etc, are multiplied. Bonus dice, such as sneak attack, flaming, shocking, etc, generally are not multiplied.

OK, I wasn't sure. I know there are some exceptions to the rule though. I think there is a spell or feat (I forget the name) that was discussed on this board before about how “all damage” was doubled on a crit. As a matter of fact, I think it might have been one of the Divine feats, or maybe the smite ability? If you do a crit with smite, doesn’t that damage get doubled? And if you make a touch attack with Inflict Light Wounds and roll a crit, that gets doubled to, right? Does the same rule then follow charging with a lance on a mount? Sorry, at work and don’t have my PHB with me or I’d research this myself. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I'm not sure actually. I'd be curious to know though.

Yes, but that's not "extra dice". That's getting a successful critical hit with a weapon-like spell. Totally different.

Nope. See previous answer.

O.K. This is WAY! off topic I know. And a horribly blatant hijack, BUT!

Kreynolds would your Iconic Icon, be classified as an Ironic Iconic?

Ahhh, I just remembered the post I was thinking about. It was regarding a Psionic power that healed the same amount of damage that it inflicted (Vampiric something or other). The argument was if the damage healed was JUST from the damage the weapon inflicted or if other sources counted (Sneak Attack, magical damage such as Flaming Burst, Smite, etc.).
