Is SVGames an honest business? Was I the only one stolen?

Zarathustran -

Your story is strangely familiar. Almost all details seem to coincide with what happened to me. SVGames should definitely straighten things out. This is not acceptable.

I think one should not even be charged when delivery is made by the supplier, but should be billed upon reception of the merchandise.

Just my two cents

Just for posterity's sake, I made two large (a little over $100 each) orders during their Chainmail sale, and received both orders without a problem. Each order took about two weeks to reach me.

For things other than ESDs, I would not. Not until they changed their business approach.
For ESDs, it seems a good place where to buy.
For ESDs and PDFs, I recommend RPGNow. I've purchased several times from them and never had any problems.

Just another data point.

Hello again,

I just wanted to clarify why SVGames charges at time of purchase vs. at time of shipment. The only reason is that we offer digital downloads as well as physical goods on the site. If I could not charge/authorize a credit card at the time of purchase, it would allow individuals to successfully place orders with fake credit card information to obtain access to digital goods (we currently encounter several hundred failed fraud attempts each month). I initially contemplated offering two separate online stores - one for physical goods and one for digital goods, but that seemed rather clunky and inconvenient to customers since one wouldn't get the opportunity to look around/shop for everything in one place.

Hope that helps shed some light.

Can I have my minotaur head please? :)
It occurred to me you couldn't have known the minotaur shipped with no head since WoTC hide the contents of their chainmail minis in opaque cardboard boxes. Instead of the minotaur's head they thoughtfully included an extra goblin - no base for it though.
