a +2 mithral chain shirt or +2 mithral buckler.

or

mage armor wand if you don't have armor. shield wand if you don't have shield and a +1 two handed weapon with a wand of truestrike built into the handle {if your DM is cool with it being placed like that]. A silvered weapon and a cold iron weapon. Rest on scrolls.

Wand of mirror image or blur.

When outfitting a character, I tend to think armor, then weapon, then "misc". Armor keeps you alive long enough to use your weapons and your misc. So:

Armor: +1 mithral chain or +1 leafweave studded leather

Weapon: +1 spiked chain

Misc: Scrolls to fill holes in your spell list. Wineskin, full.
