Jack Chick - A Parody?

Silver Moon said:
Back in High School I was given the Chick tract titled "It is a sin to have long hair". That was the late 70's, and my hair was down to below my shoulders. The guy who gave me the tract had read it and then gotten himself a crew cut. He honestly thought that telling me to get a haircut was the way to save my soul.

You know, I have comments to make on why Jack Chick- according to the message in one of his own tracts! - was completely wasting his time with most of the others.

But it verges on religious discussion, and I think if I made those comments, I'd then have to close the thread for breaking board rules :(

So I won't :)

You sir, are a tease. You could at least post it to Nutkinland. What do you say? I double-dog-dare you to.... :D

There is that. I'll see if I can find the tract I'm thinking of...

Edit - okay, it's in Debate Club.

I know, I know. I was VERY careful in my wording of my prior post to tiptoe on the edge of the no-religion rule without crossing over the line. What I gave was a historical account of my interaction and stated what the other person thought. At no point did I express any actual religious opinion.

Have to agree with Henry about this man being a key instigator of the D&D is Evil, but he wasn't alone as there were also a few books promoting that idea as well as that awful Tom Hanks TV movie.

Oh, that wasn't a hidden reprimand or anything. I meant exactly what I said - if I had posted what I was thinking about, it would have crossed the line.

Okay, that's cool. As a long-time friend of Piratecat and a mod on another board I always try to stay within the rules. And BTW Hypersmurf, you're doing a great job here.
