Kill 2e. "Make whoopy" with 3e, regardless of marital status.
Ignore 4e completely. Maybe a few reluctant flings to "take one for the team" now and then. But I need a helluva pair of beer goggles first.

Since this is apparently both a flame war and a test of indecency thread...
Kill 3e. Its like the best and worst of the crazy girlfriend. Seems like a whole lotta fun, then suddenly has you doing a bunch of overly elaborate work to keep for setting her off into a psychotic rage/tpk. Then you discover she's also seeing all these other gamers through a weird "open" relationship.
Marry 4e. I guess, though I'd rather get to know it a bit better first.
Make whoopie with 2e. Can I make it a paper bag whoopie? There's some great scenery in terms of campaign settings, but reading the phb drives me crazy.
Kill 3e. Its like the best and worst of the crazy girlfriend. Kill 2e. 2e is kinda like the first girl you ever went out with. You thought her THAC0 was cute and her art wasn't half bad. But then the new edition moved to town.
Marry 3.Xe. Sure had some good times with 2e but 3.Xe never argued with you about where you wanted to go. If you wanted a duel wielding fighter, she'd run upstairs, change some feats, and head out. Truly the love of my gaming life.
Make whoopie with 4e. Whereas 2e and 3e made accomodations for "realism", all 4e wants to do is game. Poison an undead creature that has no blood running through its veins? Sure! It's quick and it's dirty and you feel just a twinge of shame after running it.
(In all honesty, I'll play whatever edition comes my way. I'm more concerned about who's running the game rather than the game itself.)
