Play 4e.

Mine 3e and 2e for ideas.

I guess I'm just not so emotionally invested in any edition of D&D. This is probably a failing on my part. :p

I have been dating 4E for several months. I am not quite ready for the big step of marriage but I am close. I certainly have made whoopie with it.

3.5 is my current wife. I am leaving her for greener pastures. She has left me longing for whoopie that I am just not getting. Her sister Pathfinder is a real hottie however, I plan on dating her as soon as she is of age. She is the only reason I have not proposed to 4E yet.

1E/2E is my grandmother, I play cribbage with her every so often but that's about as far as it goes. I have no thoughts of hopping in the sack with her.

Kill 3.x and take her stuff. What? Isn't that what she always said she wanted? :p

Make whoopie with 4e. She's new and hot, but I want to make sure she can stand the test of time and not nag me first.

Marry 2e. Even after all these years, she's still hot and fun. :)

Marry and make whoopie to 4e, all night long.

Kill pathfinder - it's nothing more than a cheap knockoff, anyway.

A more serious reply to my MFK answer before.

Rules Cyclopedia: Childhood sweetheart. You pine over what you had, but calling her up would be awkward and probably ruin the memory with a hearty dose of reality.

AD&D 1e: The girl you never met, then heard some nasty rumors about. Others recall her fondly, you wonder what the big deal was.

AD&D 2e: The Prom Date. You had some good times and some rough times. You still visit and you're still friends, but you're sure nothing good could come of banging her senseless.

D&D 3e/3.5: Your main girl. She's been with you all along, but the relationship gets complected. She gets demanding. She's difficult to predict. However, you've done so much together its almost too comfortable to let go, and you really do love her when its all said and done.

D&D 4e: The girl who seems to be a lot of fun and kinda a free spirit; adventuresome and fresh. You're attracted to her vitality and spontaneity, but after a while, find she's not as deep as your last girl and you wonder if its really worth getting attached.

M: 3e. F: 4e (maybe a drunk one-nighter with 2e) K: 1e. Fantasize about: RC.

Kill 4E. She doesn't care about my needs at all...sometimes, I get the feeling she only wants me for my wallet.

Marry 3.5 because she is still the sexiest woman in town, even after all these years. And also because she is cool with the occasional 3-way with Pathfinder, whenever you get the itch.

Have lots of sailor-on-leave fun with 2E, BECM, RC, and the older games, but don't get too attached. Sure, those old flames burn hot on a one-night stand or summertime fling...but soon enough, you will remember all of those reasons why you moved on.
