[kinda OT] GameBoys and regions

Ok, so I've been bidding on some GBA games for my brother, and I wanted to know if there still are region differences for GBA games if from another country, i.e. can I buy a U.K.-manufactured game and be able to play it on my GBA bought here, and if so, does this convention carry over to all game boy variations?

I know there are region differences for the consoles, which is why I'm only asking for the handhelds.

To my knowledge, there has never been any region lockouts on Gameboy hardware/software (the original Gameboy and all its incarnations, the GBA and GBA SP, and the new DS); a North American Gameboy will run European and Japanese games just fine, and vice versa.

Just wanted to echo what ohGr said. I bought a GBA SP in Japan, and promptly played my American-bought copy of Metroid Fusion on it with no problems.
